  1. Hi -- Looks fantastic ! I had heard that the front axle needs to be moved a bit for the front tires to be centered in the wheel openings. Did you do anything for that issue ? Or did you build it box stock ?
  2. Super. Mine will be an IH 4300 Transtar Eagle. I'll post a pic of the shrink-wrapped kit tomorrow.
  3. Is it too late to get in ??? Maybe this year I'll actually finish something. There's always hope ! Thanks
  4. OMG !!! I'M IN HEAVEN !!!!!! FINALLY THE 60" SLEEPER !!!!!! ?
  5. So did you put down a primer coat first? Or just shoot this stuff on bare plastic ? Just reading the can label it says it's a paint and primer all-in-one. Haven't used that before so I'm curious!
  6. I'll take 3 of those kits ! Credit card warmed up and ready! LOL
  7. Yeah.. you ain't kidding it's a real pain. Another marvel of AMT engineering :-( I built this kit when I was like 13 yrs old and no way did I struggle with it like this thing. Was the original kit 40 yrs ago that much better?
  8. Either !! or even better -- both !! And I would love to see a grain trailer kit like the Transtar II Eagle is pulling on the box !
  9. Correct me if i don't have this correct -- I had heard that since the 4300 used the 4270 mold (different hood length for the 4300) that the front axle needed to be relocated a bit to get the front wheels to center in the wheel opening of the front fenders ?
  10. The one thing I can say about the AMT 1/25 truck kits is *DO NOT* start with the Freightliner cabover ! I'm currently working on the AMT Pete 352 cabover, and this one has fit issues (as do almost all AMT truck kits).
  11. I'm liking that one !!!
  12. Hey guys -- any of you that have built this kit: did you run into this issue where the rear drive shaft between the drive axles seems too long ?? Here's a pic of mine -- if you did, what did you do ??

  14. Love the day cab !! Did you scratch build the back panel or take it from somewhere ? Looks great !
  15. I've been talking to him for the past few months at our club meetings -- and there is nobody that pays more attention to detail and quality. Outstanding !!
  16. Thanks ! I'm darn slow. Hopefully I can primer the frame and get some paint on the engine and transmission this week.
  17. While my B.R.B.O. Pete project is giving me grief, I worked on this one a bit that I didn't finish for last years contest.
  18. In other words, put a ProStar and a LoneStar in your stash now before they are gone forever -- in case there isn't another "spot run". Thanks.
  19. Looks fantastic !! The 60" sleeper really makes the truck. Where did you get the 60" sleeper ?
  20. I do like the new front end on the latest Cascadia Freightshaker too !
