  1. Totally awesome scratchbuilding efforts. I'm loving those little stacks of cups!
  2. I love this thing and I think it's worth saving as-is. If you were to rebuild it from scratch, I agree that a slight top-chop would help it flow a little better. I keep imagining it with a normal ride height up front, and slammed in the back, like a lowrider. That probably wasn't the stance the original builder was going for, though!
  3. This lambo is looking totally insane! I love the 3D printed parts, they go such a long way to completely changing the look. I do have one reservation: how confident are you in the resilience and strength of those (very cool) door hinges, and do you have a plan B if they snap during painting/assembly? Could you prototype them in resin and build them in aluminum or brass based on the 3D printed example?
  4. Looking good! I love that interior fabric pattern. It's very cool to see these 3D printed conversion parts being integrated into new builds.
  5. Awesome work, Ken! I'm not familiar with the original car, but looks like you're doing it justice. For your first-ever Fusion360 project I'd say it's looking fantastic!
  6. Here you go! Uuugh, I can't believe more than 7 years have passed since I drew that sketch.
  7. Loving this so far! Those vents from the Audi are a fantastic detail, I like them a lot.
  8. So cool. It's been really fun watching the WIP thread. I love seeing such an out-there idea become such a well-realized build. Tons of interesting details on this one!! Definitely saving these photos to my inspiration folder 😁
  9. Neat concept! On paper, I wouldn't be entirely convinced that the window treatment would work, but there it is...looks fantastic! I'm enjoying the stance on this one too.
  10. I love this! Cool detailing, and the effect created by all that careful decal work is extremely striking. The car looks intimidating...but also just plain fun!
  11. Nice execution and detailing! Great chop and stance, those resin '32s from Ed are pretty darn nice. The Thrush mufflers are a cool addition that I don't think I've seen before, and those headers look super useful for shoehorning that mill in there.
  12. I love the concept and the weathering/decal work you did on this one!
  13. Nice save! I really dig the paintjob and color combo with those wheels. I agree that the bumpers are a little bulky.
  14. Spectacular! I love the crazy gullwing doors and swivel seat mechanism, and the fade paint job. I can't wait to see the rest of this one come together!
  15. This super ambitious, and I'm enjoying seeing the progress you're making!
  16. So cool to see it all one color after all that surgery!
  17. Loving that fade job! And hey, nice valve covers and injectors
  18. Interesting question! I like to think it would all be packed in the box, but I do wonder if some content might have been removed to fit the chopper. I don't see any "2 in 1" graphics and the box art seems to indicate only the mags, as far as I can see.
  19. Excellent work. I love the stance and proportions, wheel/tire package, and of course that mean-looking chop. I have one of these fantastic resin bodies from Drag City Casting set aside to build someday, so it's nice to have some inspiration!
  20. Interesting! I'm seeing what looks like the original-style tires instead of the radial-looking tires in the previous "rat rod" edition.
  21. This is a really cool concept! I sorta liked the version that had Lincoln front fenders, but to each his own. So many choices, right? Here's a photoshop with a few thoughts. No pressure, I just liked it enough to start noodling with ideas: -front fender trimmed at the bottom for better flow in side view, and bottom edge of fenders adjusted so there's no step where the skirt ends. -lowered further until the rims are almost hidden in front, and completely hidden in the rear -slight rearward raked stance -since the theme seems to be "art deco skirted wheels" and the front is quite visually heavy, I added an art deco emblem to give it some zoom (not centered on the wheel, because the design theme is de-emphasizing the wheels anyway) -if the tires have to be trimmed to fit up in the fenders, who will ever know? Haha.
  22. I remember this one!! I have the photos stashed away in my inspiration folder. Fantastic work I've always imagine this build in some shade of purple.
  23. This build is fantastic. I love everything about it, saved to the inspiration folder
  24. Hi Brian, I'm currently waiting to see how the Shapeways thing shakes out (looks pretty dead so far) and assessing alternatives. I'll be sure to post here when I figure out what to do.
  25. I'm glad to see this project return, and that you're feeling newly enthusiastic about it! I'm also feelin' the traditional vibe more than the 80s/90s mix-n-match look
