Any more news on the progress of this kit? I can see one built as a Speed Shop parts delivery truck.

Just starting a thread to talk about this kit. I had never seen or heard about it, until the announcement earlier this month. I will assume that this is old AMT Tooling, cleaned up and re-issued for the first time in 40 some years, but I don't know if that is true. Does anybody know any details about the kits origins, and history? Any details about what might be in it now? I'll guess that we'll get the usual Updated Decal Sheet, and pad printed tires, but will there be an optional set of Wheels? Any other small goodies to punch up the value a bit, for a kit that will probably retail at close to 40.00. An opening hood? I can see one built a an unmarked Police car, but I am not sure what else the kit might be built into. I'm not put off by the Craftsman style tooling. In fact that makes it a bit easier to finish, which is always good. I have lots of questions, but not many answers. Thanks for all the help.

Getting back into model building

Glad to have you here, with us! Your Building Skills are Laser Sharp. Great Builds of older NASCAR racers. -
Awesome Build! Roadwarrior meets the 1950's. I love it! Great Trunk Detail, too.

His review was very good. Revell really is putting some nice decals in kits lately. Notice that there are license plate decals for Canada (Ontario) and separate plates for the trailer. The trailer wheels are a bit too 1990's for my tastes but that is an easy fix. I know there where two different versions of the Bass Boat. Different Outboards, and maybe some slight changes to the boat itself. Ill have to look and see what they are.

Thanks, Jonathan. Glad to see it again.

Is that the old "Pink Pig" art on a modern car?

Awesome News, Steve! You guys at Round2 are are really knocking them out of the park. And My Views about the Camper Shell are very similar to the Ones quoted here by John Shoe. (aka 1972coronet) "However, in those 53 years, I can't recall ever having seen a camper like the one in the AMT '63 F-100 either. It's possible that AMT was basing that camper upon a prototype which never saw production; and, just as likely, that camper is based upon some obscure design which was produced in low numbers before its manufacturer going defunct or it was scrapped then redesigned." Without a comprehensive search of old Back Issues of Popular Mechanics or Mechanix Illustrated, it might be impossible to find a real camper that was measured for the kit.

Pete, Thanks a Million, you are a Lifesaver! Man, that Blower is a monster of a thing, isn't it? I hope Round2 manages to clone it at some point. The '63 Looks cleaner, and more serious than the '60 does, at least to my eye. Going to wind up with both tho. The '60 for the trailer, and the '63 for the camper. Going to build a 'circa 1968' or so Low-Buck Race team. A 5 year old truck and a Budget Gasser or Altered should make a great 3 piece set. Kit even come with a push bar for the dragster!

MPC did a couple Dune Buggies and a racing car in 1/20. It is not as odd as it sounds. However, I think One Man, (George Toteff) was the brains behind both the 1960's MPC and Later 1990's Lindberg 1/20 scale kits. IIRC, he was a huge fan of that scale. Nichimo in Japan even did a 1/20 Aero Subaru Light Plane. https://modelingmadness.com/review/civil/poifa200preview.htm

More Spokes in the Front & Rear Wheels for a start. RPM Models sells a 1/72 Mack Bulldog that might help convert the big one. https://www.1001hobbies.com/172-scale-military-models/29792-rpm-rpm72400-mack-ac-bulldog-truck-type-ehc1--5903217009260.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi46iBhDyARIsAE3nVrbxFSzD6sW6AAcb3e1Dkfklbr5sazjyyNqwwxDkteDeTej6FpYP_MoaAo6aEALw_wcB -
