Who took over Scenes unlimited
stavanzer replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Plaskit is very expensive in my experience. I have never used them but the prices were too much for my budget. -
According to Wikipedia, Bandit drives a 1973 or 74 Kenworth W900 in the Movie. I'm not up enough on trucks to know much about older trucks. What kit would be suitable to replicate his rig? And the Gold Trim Decals. Are they in any factory boxing of a kit, or are they strictly aftermarket? Thanks!

MPC 1981 Chevy Stepside Pickup Sod Buster (1:25 SCALE)
stavanzer replied to av405's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I'll be buying more than one kit. This is great. Now, could we get the 2wd, Longbed, please? There is a huge market for a Longbed truck. Would be even better with a Pre-'81 Grille. Another Suggestion. Give us some 8 Lug 3/4 Ton, or One Tone wheels, and maybe pair it with a trailer, something Like the Mod Stock Hauler, only with a Newer Truck. The Wagon Wheels are nice, but Stock Steelies would be great , as well. Thanks for the Arm Twisting to get this kit made! I'm sure it will sell well. I can already see Cross-kitting possibilities with the Deserter. -

I learned how to drive a Model T
stavanzer replied to 89AKurt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A 1926 Model T Speedster was my daily driver for about 2 years, from 1990-1991, until it was stolen. A hoot to drive everyday. At least in California, a Speedster is so light, it won't trip the sensors in some left turn lanes. I had to try to hit the middle of some lanes to trigger the lighter motorcycle pad. Was not every light though. Just a few. Glad you learned to drive one. They are fun once you get the hang of it! -
Decals Look Great! Has the right stance, too!

Chris, you didn't get a screen capture of the OG Decal sheet, did you? It looks huge for a Sixties Vintage kit. I wonder how much of it will translate into the new decals? -
You could very well be correct.
-
Ah, but they may not have it. Which is why this kit was tooled up in the first place.
-
That is a Beautiful Survivor, Snake. I'd Start hunting the 'bay for another kit, and save this one.
-
I've always wanted to stuff a pair of the kit's Hemis into the Side by Side dragster. It is a pretty neat little kit, and the Fiat is nice. Good Luck with your builds!
-
The Fiat has always been that way , Stef. Nice Kit, with many options.

I like the 65 GTO, and the 22" Eagle.

Great Wheels, Great Project! I hope you can at least get it all togerher, even if it never gets painted.

Fantastic Wheels. Thanks for the Helpful Photos from Hobby Lobby & Joanns. I might try to get a packet of those LaMode Gears. Perfect for Doodlebugs. I look forward to seeing what is next!

Neat Build, Chuck! Your Builds always inspire. -
Looks Cool! I've seen a couple of these kits built as rods in the last 30 years. Yours has a different vibe, as the others I've seen did not retain the Merc Engine. Good Luck.
