  1. Nice Comments, Niteowl. I do agree, that even pre-bankruptcy Revell seemed to move with more deliberation than seemed necessary sometimes. The PR from Revell on the Model A kits was truly horrible. Secrecy and silence, did not serve Revell at all well. No need to spill all the gory details, but clear, concise statements, quickly released would have built a whole lot more goodwill. What I see, is that these companies are still not quite used to there being two-way communication, on both sides of the Manufacturer / Customer transaction. Neither Revell or Round2 is horrible in this way, but both seem to be very slow in responding to their buying public. I think a quicker OODA loop would serve both companies well, in the future.
  2. Wow! Dave ROCKS it again! Cool Build.
  3. Laser Sharp '32, Mike. I prefer the Hallibrands to the 5-spokes in the other Revell kits
  4. Maybe Round2 could start off small by just giving us the Dust Devil? It looks like it is 85% Fall Guy truck. Also, I am really hoping that the Dodge D100 is the precursor for a W Series 4x4. Preferably with the older grille.
  5. And it does have a swing-away carrier for the spare. It is a nice kit, for when it was tooled. It does indeed share about 75% of it's DNA with the GMC Snowplow kit from a few years ago. I want one, but I'm afraid that Revell will issue it as a "Content-Lite" kit with few options, and a fresh re-print of the small, original decals. Not sure if I really want to pay 30.00 for a kit that is unchanged, content wise from the original.
  6. I like it! Looking good so far.
  7. Thanks for the answers guys. I'll have to ponder.
  8. Wus Rong Wif Da Hasegawa Buick kit? I want one to fill a gap in my Buick collection, and it looks okay to me, so far.
  9. Hase (2 kits) Aoshima (1 kit) Maybe There Will Be More Later That I Like.
  10. Great Car! I like the reversed Roll Bar.
  11. This kit finally has some decent tires. They look great on your build. There are a tone of options in this kit, so Box Stock can cover an enormous range of builds. You have really showcased how good it can look built just like the box art. This just ensures I'll be getting one, myself. You have a great Build there, and it does not look like a "3 Footer" to me.
  12. Wow! Great Job, Curt. Fun and Fast little truck.
  13. Those are the exact hubcaps & tires that I had on my Dodge. I think Fireball Modelworks is tapped out right now, though, so I would hope that maybe somebody else will step up. SEL maybe?
  14. Plus One, on the Grills, and D200/D300 Hub Caps and Wheels.
  15. Not until you scratch build a master and have it cast, I'm afraid, Paul.
  16. Jim B. Your question hits home, that is my business. Gross Wt for Tractor, Trailer and Freight is 80,000 lbs. With the aluminum trailer my trucks Max out at about 45,000 lbs of freight. We scale the truck when there are questions about actual total Wt. No Two loads are the same, and depending on Tractor Type, Wts do change. Even scaling with half empty fuel tanks can gain you 500 lbs of cargo wt.(diesel is heavy, and not filling a pair of 100 gallon tanks does help) The big OTR (Over-The-Road) Kenworths and Petes are heavy trucks and Freightliners and Volvos tend to be lighter. Cheaper too, but they have more maintenance issues (at least in our fleet). I have seen a couple big Kenworth Tractors with the big "Apartment Style" sleepers that grossed over 50,000 lbs by themselves. The folks who own them tend to do "Custom Hauling" of High Value, Low Weight Freight' HTH. Alan
  17. Can these kits be used to build Flat Bed Doubles? I see the short, doubles from my office window every day, and I'd like to build some. Or should I use the old Testors/Lindberg Flatbed kit, and build it as a shortie?
  18. That '77 Firebird is just lame. Sad that there are no optional parts. Not even an extra set of wheels......... Three Colour Decals! Be Still My Heart! I'm glad the Willys is back out. Pitch the decal sheet and you still have a Great Gasser kit. I like the Red Line Slicks too. The Trailer Doubles will be a hit with Truck Guys, so that is a Home Run there. That new Lift looks nice too. I just wish all three of those Garage Series kits, would make to either my LHS or Hobby Lobby. Afraid though, Imma have to break down and mail order them. Good Month, though.
  19. I can hear the "Big Block" Rumble from here. Super Sharp Build.
  20. It is looking great, Jim! The colour you have on the truck looks like a vintage colour. It works nicely. I'm all for the toolbox being gloss Black, also. Dress it up with a small name or number decal to personalize it more.
  21. Some Info. I saw Jim race at Mesa Marin a couple of times. http://www.everret.com/SAUGUS5THIRKETTLE.html https://www.thefreelibrary.com/IT'S+THE+LAST+CHANCE+FOR+THIRKETTLE+AT+MESA+MARIN.-a0135824798 Jim Thirkettle, won five straight Mesa Marin track championships, from 1979 to 1983, in addition to two track titles at Saugus Speedway. Jim Thirkettle's racing career is legendary on the West Coast. He made his way up the NASCAR ladder and competed on the old Grand National Division, when the top stock car racers visited Ontario and Riverside. http://westcoaststockcarhalloffame.com/about-2016-inductee-jim-thirkettle/ Enjoy.
  22. No Corvette Hub Caps. Sorry.
  23. That frame is under the '23 T Depot Hack/C-cab delivery van kit. And yes, it can be tricky to build. But, I'll be getting one to bash with the new Roadster to make a Hot Rod C-Cab.
