I was crazy about Beetle Bailey as a kid and I think that the cartoon is the main reason why I have always wanted a Willys, and why I now have one waiting for restoration. So, anything happening with this one?
Was this paint available on the full size trucks too? I recall seeing something similar on a Silverado or Cheyenne I think? Quite a nice looking brown anyway.
Sometimes, "primer is finer". And I think that it's nicer to see when someone have the guts to cut into the body rather than buying a pre-chopped one, even if it ends up with results that aren't flawless. But your chop looks really nice.
Can't say that I have seen too many of these kits being built up, but you have done a great job with it. Very clean and the sparkling green looks fantastic.
Second to the split window Vette, the early Rivieras are my favourite 60s GM design, and you have done a great job with the resto, and i like the style even if it is, as you say, a bit different. Great job!
Yes, since she would be happy for anything that barely resembles a 240, I decided to go the easy route and build it out of the box, but I have bought one for myself now and that one will also be built a bit different....
Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I never thought this humble litte brick would be this appreciated.
Well executed idea, maybe the monochromatic look ain't my taste and if it was my build I think I would have had some chrome as a contrast to the blue, but that's completely a matter of taste and it's a great build anyway!
