  1. Love the 65/66 Ford body styles, looking forward to what you do with this one.
  2. That is one hot Hemi. (Sorry, I couldn't not say it).
  3. Very nice looking ride, but then it is a FORD so that is to be expected. I had sort of thought (not too seriously) about trading in my F-150 for one of those, but then considered I would have a difficult time towing my pontoon. Yes they have.
  4. One beautiful bird. I really like the paint scheme, must have been a challenge to mask.
  5. Sweet little high-boy coupe, really like that color.
  6. Excellent work on this build, your attention to the details is commendable. Glad you decided to leave off the snowplow, to me that made the build too busy. Would be nice to see a name for some fictitious construction company on the sides and maybe a few pieces of lumber in the bed. Either way you go, this is a beautiful FORD truck.
  7. I just picked up this kit at the Salisbury Swap Meet, unfortunately I didn't get a set of extra wheels. Will be watching your build. BTW, do you know if that company is still in business? And for posting that last picture, you should be hung by your thumbs; that is such a sacrilege. ?
  8. Haven't done it yet but have plans to build a model of the F-250 extended van I drove for Pony Express. A.J.'s ideas seem about right.
  9. When I read your title "Galaxie Stock Car" I was expecting another Lorenzen or Jarrett Grand National build. But when I scrolled past the picture of those tires and the rear quarter panel my mouse came to a screeching halt. I do enjoy a good clean Grand National build, but I get excited over a short track build. Like the looks of where this one is going, keep those updates coming.
  10. That is some very beautiful, intricate work. At that scale it would have taken me three years just to complete a couple of the planes. The addition of the coal barges adds a nice touch.
  11. Beautiful bodywork on that hood scoop, also like that color. Looking forward to updates.
  12. Very clean little pickup. That red really sets if off.
  13. I am heavily involved with our local high school softball team. We are in a 1A conference so most of the schools do not have a very large budget, especially for softball. Now football is another issue and another irk. Our spectator area consists of three sets of bleachers. The spectators from one school we play are quite obnoxious and rude. But the real irk is when they come, they always spread out in the middle of the three bleachers. Most other schools will take the bleacher on the end where their team is located, and if necessary will move to the middle bleacher . I don't mind sharing a bleacher with a visiting team if they aren't constantly deriding the officials, our players, and anything else they can complain about.
  14. That is one beautiful van. Would have definitely been a feature article in Truckin' magazine in the 70"s. A very clean build and your paint work is outstanding. Just wondering, did you do a fuzzy fur interior?
  15. Don't know anything about the wheel covers you are searching for, just wanted to thank your Dad for his service. (From another USAF veteran).
  16. I think he is referring to the exhausts exiting behind the driver door rather than the passenger door ("and out behind the passenger door") as you mentioned earlier. That is going to make one very hot compartment for the driver.
  17. Just did some checking through my stash and it appears the chassis in the AMT 67 Mustang kit could be made to work with a small amount of adjustment. Also, the chassis in the 88 Mustang kit and the chassis in the later model Revell Mustangs ('07 and up) could make nice donors. The later model Mustangs would provide a lot more detail and the updated chassis would make it a killer T-Bird. All those will require some floor pan adjustments or changes. Hope this helps.
  18. Best way to find out would be to go to a dealer with a tape measure in hand and measure it. Remember also the size tires will have some effect on the height of the vehicle. Six foot is 72 inches so if the height is 68.7 that gives you 3.3 inches to play with. The antennas on the roof of my '22 F-150 are less than 2 inches. Hope this helps in some way.
  19. I ran a set on my '72 C-10. I saw them in a magazine in either '71 or '72, also ran an ACCEL super coil to get some color under the hood.
  20. Very nice build, good looking camouflage. However, those glowing white wheels would defeat the camo purpose. Is that going to be part of your weathering process?
  21. That is a beautiful motorhome/toter. The color combination works very well with the size and shape. Only thing missing is an enclosed trailer with some form of race car inside. I have a couple of this style build floating around in my head, just need to get to the bench (if I can find it) and get busy cutting some styrene.
  22. Big Daddy would be proud, very nice and amusing build.
  23. That is one mighty fine-looking Sedan. As the others have stated that paint is not only smooth but also enhances the lines of the body. Very excellent build.
  24. Won these on an on-line auction, picked them up today. All the kits are sealed except for the '56 Chevrolet and it is a complete kit.
