  1. Just noticed in the picture of the cockpit there are seatbelts molded in the seat. Not sure I would want to be strapped in if this thing got upside down at 100+ mph. Then again getting ejected would not be a really good alternative either, that water can be like concrete if you hit it wrong.
  2. A bit sluggish earlier, PM sent to Dave. Of course, since I reported it, it is working fine now.
  3. Rats, I was planning on going down there, but had family from out of town visiting. Looks like it was a pretty good show. Have been there a couple times in years past and it has always been impressive. Last time I was there I won a 1/16 scale Jungle Jim kit in the raffle.
  4. Very nice looking C-20, your color choice fits it very well. Where did you source the stepside bed?
  5. Keep those updates coming. I like what you did with the wing actuator. Just for fun, I dug out my kit and it also is missing any semblance of an actuator. Are you going to run the injector stacks as furnished in the kit? I am thinking of maybe replacing them with some stacks from one of the AMT funny car kits. The ones in the kit look rather flimsy for my taste. Anyway, build on.
  6. Very nice looking Mustang, and that color is close to Grabber Blue (IMHO). I like the way you did the interior colors. Looking forward to the "Under Glass" photos.
  7. The only way I can tell this is a diorama rather than a real deal is the lack of tadpoles in the mudholes. Excellent work and very ambitious build, especially in that scale.
  8. Love the 65/66 Ford body styles, looking forward to what you do with this one.
  9. That is one hot Hemi. (Sorry, I couldn't not say it).
  10. Very nice looking ride, but then it is a FORD so that is to be expected. I had sort of thought (not too seriously) about trading in my F-150 for one of those, but then considered I would have a difficult time towing my pontoon. Yes they have.
  11. One beautiful bird. I really like the paint scheme, must have been a challenge to mask.
  12. Sweet little high-boy coupe, really like that color.
  13. Excellent work on this build, your attention to the details is commendable. Glad you decided to leave off the snowplow, to me that made the build too busy. Would be nice to see a name for some fictitious construction company on the sides and maybe a few pieces of lumber in the bed. Either way you go, this is a beautiful FORD truck.
  14. I just picked up this kit at the Salisbury Swap Meet, unfortunately I didn't get a set of extra wheels. Will be watching your build. BTW, do you know if that company is still in business? And for posting that last picture, you should be hung by your thumbs; that is such a sacrilege. ?
  15. Haven't done it yet but have plans to build a model of the F-250 extended van I drove for Pony Express. A.J.'s ideas seem about right.
  16. When I read your title "Galaxie Stock Car" I was expecting another Lorenzen or Jarrett Grand National build. But when I scrolled past the picture of those tires and the rear quarter panel my mouse came to a screeching halt. I do enjoy a good clean Grand National build, but I get excited over a short track build. Like the looks of where this one is going, keep those updates coming.
  17. That is some very beautiful, intricate work. At that scale it would have taken me three years just to complete a couple of the planes. The addition of the coal barges adds a nice touch.
  18. Beautiful bodywork on that hood scoop, also like that color. Looking forward to updates.
  19. Very clean little pickup. That red really sets if off.
  20. I am heavily involved with our local high school softball team. We are in a 1A conference so most of the schools do not have a very large budget, especially for softball. Now football is another issue and another irk. Our spectator area consists of three sets of bleachers. The spectators from one school we play are quite obnoxious and rude. But the real irk is when they come, they always spread out in the middle of the three bleachers. Most other schools will take the bleacher on the end where their team is located, and if necessary will move to the middle bleacher . I don't mind sharing a bleacher with a visiting team if they aren't constantly deriding the officials, our players, and anything else they can complain about.
  21. That is one beautiful van. Would have definitely been a feature article in Truckin' magazine in the 70"s. A very clean build and your paint work is outstanding. Just wondering, did you do a fuzzy fur interior?
  22. Don't know anything about the wheel covers you are searching for, just wanted to thank your Dad for his service. (From another USAF veteran).
  23. I think he is referring to the exhausts exiting behind the driver door rather than the passenger door ("and out behind the passenger door") as you mentioned earlier. That is going to make one very hot compartment for the driver.
