  1. Beautiful build, very nice choice of colors. The stance is just right, not too low.
  2. Going to be one beautiful gasser when you get it finished. Hope you have a driveshaft loop somewhere on your workbench.
  3. A Volvo powered Ford pickup would make sense, much beter than a Chevrolet engine. Really like what you are doing with this one.
  4. Kind of lost control at an on-line auction this morning and bought these kits. Hope I wasn't bidding against one of our members.
  5. You are learning the best way possible, get in there and get your hands dirty.
  6. Got to agree with this statement, once you start scratchbuilding building box stock very seldom happens. You are doing some really nice work with that chassis, looking forward to updates.
  7. Beautiful, clean build. That year Mustang just looks so wicked, and this racer version just adds to that look.
  8. Beautiful build of a street pickup, would love to have that parked in my carport. Very nice paint work.
  9. Looks like it is going to be a really nice build. Was wondering about the engine that comes with this kit. I have not seen any mention and from the decals I do not see anything. I saw him and his brother run in the North/South shootout a few years back and both had "Rousch Racing Engines" decals on their cars.
  10. Had to stop by WM to pick up some bird suet feed, decided to walk by the toy aisle on the way out and found these two.
  11. Have my table reserved and a motel room, no way I could get there by 7:00 am otherwise. Will need to sell a bunch of kits to cover the costs, so everyone that is coming bring money.
  12. Oh, that is so nice. One beautiful Mustang and that color really fits it well.
  13. Those are some very fine, high-dollar machines. Loved the Ferrari and the Lola. Thanks for the pictures.
  14. Those are a fine-looking pair of pickups. It's too bad that Willys flip front doesn't fit any better; that is why I display mine open.
  15. Right now I am working a project on the kitchen table. Two reasons: (1) it is too cold for these old bones in the basement, (2) my workbench is so cluttered I can't find it to use it. I have got to get down there and do some cleaning. Still not quite 100% from the knee replacement, so a bit limited as to what I can do.
  16. Another Tarheel here, I live about 30 miles west of Winston-Salem around the intersection of I-77 and US 421. Welcome to the forum, looking forward to some of your builds.
  17. Thanks for that information, I have often wondered how wide those aisles were. It was always a bit tight for me walking down to do my 'sleeping kid' check. Really like watching this build, you are doing some excellent work.
  18. Walked outside this morning to take some bills to the mailbox and found a fresh FEDEX delivery beside my door straight from Hobby Link Japan. The Toyota is going to be married to an extra Mustang Firefighter chassis I have, should make a believable Gasser. The VW van may be massacred into something that has been on my mind for several years, and the wheels will be added to my collection of custom wheels that are patiently waiting to be used on some Day 2 builds.
  19. Must agree with the other comments, looks very much like a NASCAR contender and with Buddy Baker as driver I'm pretty sure it finished well. Really appreciate the work you did extending the nose section, that is some really clean work.
  20. Really looking forward to what you do with this kit. That particular Lola is one of my favorite of all times. I have the Monogram 1/32 model that needs some TLC. Keep those updates coming.
  21. Very well-done diorama. Even though the figure is a bit cartoonish, she still adds believability to the overall scene. But will that suitcase fit inside the Renault; inquiring minds want to know.
  22. Actually, I believe Randy is a 1/25 scale engineer. All those large fingers in the pictures are trick photography. That is the only explanation I have. I have trouble with regular kit parts. This build, this piece of art, belongs in a fine arts museum somewhere. Or maybe in the Smithsonian. Those small pieces are way too much for me to comprehend.
  23. Thanks for that information. The connection to the flyer on their website works, technology can be finicky.
  24. That is some really nice work, very clean build. Really like all the detail work on the roof rack and the interior.
  25. Guess no one is really interested in sharing information about this show.
