  1. Have my table reserved and a motel room, no way I could get there by 7:00 am otherwise. Will need to sell a bunch of kits to cover the costs, so everyone that is coming bring money.
  2. Oh, that is so nice. One beautiful Mustang and that color really fits it well.
  3. Those are some very fine, high-dollar machines. Loved the Ferrari and the Lola. Thanks for the pictures.
  4. Those are a fine-looking pair of pickups. It's too bad that Willys flip front doesn't fit any better; that is why I display mine open.
  5. Right now I am working a project on the kitchen table. Two reasons: (1) it is too cold for these old bones in the basement, (2) my workbench is so cluttered I can't find it to use it. I have got to get down there and do some cleaning. Still not quite 100% from the knee replacement, so a bit limited as to what I can do.
  6. Another Tarheel here, I live about 30 miles west of Winston-Salem around the intersection of I-77 and US 421. Welcome to the forum, looking forward to some of your builds.
  7. Thanks for that information, I have often wondered how wide those aisles were. It was always a bit tight for me walking down to do my 'sleeping kid' check. Really like watching this build, you are doing some excellent work.
  8. Walked outside this morning to take some bills to the mailbox and found a fresh FEDEX delivery beside my door straight from Hobby Link Japan. The Toyota is going to be married to an extra Mustang Firefighter chassis I have, should make a believable Gasser. The VW van may be massacred into something that has been on my mind for several years, and the wheels will be added to my collection of custom wheels that are patiently waiting to be used on some Day 2 builds.
  9. Must agree with the other comments, looks very much like a NASCAR contender and with Buddy Baker as driver I'm pretty sure it finished well. Really appreciate the work you did extending the nose section, that is some really clean work.
  10. Really looking forward to what you do with this kit. That particular Lola is one of my favorite of all times. I have the Monogram 1/32 model that needs some TLC. Keep those updates coming.
  11. Very well-done diorama. Even though the figure is a bit cartoonish, she still adds believability to the overall scene. But will that suitcase fit inside the Renault; inquiring minds want to know.
  12. Actually, I believe Randy is a 1/25 scale engineer. All those large fingers in the pictures are trick photography. That is the only explanation I have. I have trouble with regular kit parts. This build, this piece of art, belongs in a fine arts museum somewhere. Or maybe in the Smithsonian. Those small pieces are way too much for me to comprehend.
  13. Thanks for that information. The connection to the flyer on their website works, technology can be finicky.
  14. That is some really nice work, very clean build. Really like all the detail work on the roof rack and the interior.
  15. Guess no one is really interested in sharing information about this show.
  16. Really taking shape very nicely. Almost makes me want to go back to driving - NAH, must have had a brain fade. Anyway, really like the way this build is going, keep those updates coming.
  17. Indeed, a beautiful rendition of the Sox & Martin Superbird. Very good job with the paint, especially those stripes - they are a masterful job.
  18. Beautiful work on this build. Back when this car was new a person could leave the keys laying on the console or even in the switch and not worry about it.
  19. Only wagon memories I have is our '57 Chevy Wagon. In the summertime Dad would take a weeks vacation. Our next-door neighbor and their two daughters and our family of five would pile into that wagon with luggage and the obligatory cooler for picnics along the parkway. We would traverse the Blue Ridge mountains for four or five days, my seat was always in the very back. Saw plenty of nice views outside that big back glass.
  20. PDF didn't work for me either. Would like more information about show.
  21. Excellent build, very deserving of the award. Much the same, except I was not "forced", but the first show I entered I won first place with a short track modified. Noticed your award came from SJAFB. I spent 2 1/2 years there in the mid 70's, one of my more enjoyable assignments.
  22. I really don't want to divulge the project, until I have an opportunity to make sure it will work.
  23. Unfortunately, that would not have the effect I am trying to get.
  24. Two very nice builds. I had the opportunity to watch the Chi-Town run at the 1975 Pro- Am race at Rockingham Dragstrip in NC. The only thing I really remember was the beautiful back-up girl with her really tight and short pants.
  25. Nice, clean build. That color is definitely an eye-catcher. Just noticed the rear panel has a very strong resemblance to the '67 Charger.
