I bought 5 of these friction promos at an auction a few years back. 1954 Buick 4dr, really rough, body seems to be shrinking, still has fairly good headlights and grille; 1959 Edsel, fair condition, some warpage, and shrinkage; 1958 Ford convertible, still fits pretty well not any excessive shrinkage; 1957 Buick 4dr, can't really remember its condition that well, bumpers and headlights seem to be in good condition; 1958 Pontiac 2dr, pretty good shape, no excessive shrinkage or warpage. Telling you this just to let you know these models are pretty much toast.

Yeah, a USA release. Been watching a couple of favorite sites and never saw it. This is the '72 +/- camper van with the whole roof from about the leading edge of the side doors lifts with canvas sides. I owned one for a couple years and for some reason got totally stupid and traded it for a '78 Rabbit.

DOH!! For some reason I was thinking the other side was the front panel and this was the rear edge. Looks really good.

Been waiting for updates on the Revell VW T2 Wesphalia Van. They have released the stock T2, so I wonder how far down the road the Wesphalia may be?

Mind-blowing detail on a very beautiful car. Watching you work is like watching a fine watchmaker perform his craft. Just one comment on the cigar, hope it isn't glued in place because it should be over the front of the tray and not the back side.

Very nice little diorama, especially in such a small scale. The sloppy mud is very realistic. Great little build and your photography work is really good.

Very nice-looking GTO, really like the color you chose. I have this kit, older WalMart checkerboard version, that I have been trying to build into an AWB dragster. Anyway, I believe those parts you were asking about are in fact supposed to represent the seatbelts and the retractor mechanism on the real car, but they are rather clunky looking and your belts look 100% better. Keep on sharinf this build.

Very nice build. The first couple of shots made me think this was a real one. Once I noticed the brass holder, I went back to see if it was in the first photos. Your build and its presentation are very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Parts box builds are truly satisfying. You have done an outstanding job putting these pieces together. Very convincing dragster, overall clean build.

Where can someone find the Infini pads? I have never seen them before.

Thanks for the link. Just looked through the 60 Mercury and none of the photos showed any sign of outside mirrors, even on the doors. Wonder where I could find a set of the gunsights to replace those mirrors?

Well, it finally arrived. Got this on an on-line auction. It was listed as a '60 Mercury promo; however, I believe it is actually an original model kit. Most promos I have seen have all that advertisement embossed on the chassis plate telling you of the advantages of that particular model. This one has a clean chassis. Will probably disassemble, paint, and build as a shelf model. Question, I remember a link to a website that lists model year sales brochures. I thought I marked it as a favorite, but cannot find it, any help will be appreciated. I am wondering about those "Toyota truck" fender mirrors.

Kind of cute in a strange sort of way. Those rear tires look like they may have seen some street action.

Beautiful work on the weathering. I love that truck, owned a '74 regular cab and a '78 King Cab. Would like to have the King Cab back.

Mighty fine looking '56, great choice of colors and wheels. My first car was a '56 Chevy 150 6/3 that I paid $100 for. The '56 is my favorite Tri-Five.

Some really nice pictures of the way drag racing used to be. Love that T altered and the Jeep pickup in the background of the first picture of it.

Very nice looking Gasser. Really like the flares around the rear wheel wells, adds a touch of completion to the build.

Will be going in Tuesday (Nov 29th) for a total right knee replacement. Once released from the hospital I will be in an in-patient rehab facility for a short time, at least I hope for a short time, probably ten days to two weeks. I will not have access to a computer. Have been putting this off as long as I could stand it and the shots worked, but they are now lasting a few days and the pain returns, so it is time to go under the knife. Had the left one done back in '13 so I am not unfamiliar with what to expect.

Where did you find these punches. I have a set of the Harbor Freight ones, that I have had for several years.
