  1. That was probably the reason for cancellation. Any more the shows are not worth wasting my energy to push the "on" remote button. Way too many fake reality shows or political innuendo/indoctrination shows.
  2. Thoroughly satisfied with my 2022 5.0 F-150, except for the horrendous gas-milage when I am pulling my utility trailer or my boat. 12-13 mpg really sucks the wallet dry.
  3. That is some mighty fine looking wreckage work. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it come together (so to speak). Several years ago I saw a 1/32 RF-4C model that someone had opened the radome and detailed it out, but that was not as impressive as your work with this model. Looking forward to the finished model/diorama.
  4. I have this kit and was thinking of doing the same thing or make a NASCAR racer out of it. Looking at how high that front roll pan is I may go more toward NASCAR. Customs during that period sometimes used some outrageously long furry material in the interior, more extravagant than the shag carpeting used in '70-80's vans
  5. Good idea. A real rotary pencil sharpener, haven't seen one of those in many years.
  6. Except for the oversize Dagmar's, every time I look at this car, I see a '58 Chevy. I have one that I have been trying to decide whether I want to attempt to build it or to scavenge for parts. I have a custom on the table now that would look really good with those wheels and tires, and those rear fins and headlights just scream to be transplanted onto something else: a '51 or '55 Chevy custom maybe. I already have plans for the stately dressed couple in this kit.
  7. Could you post a street address and vendor contact information. EDIT: Disregard, I just clicked on thew website and found all the information. Hope to be there.
  8. Just received my copy of this engine yesterday and it is as much a piece of art as all the other parts I have received from Texas 3D Customs. Not sure if it was meant to be, but I found an extra set of long-tube Hilborn injectors and manifold with mine. Already had the short-tube injected engine, so now I can go crazy with some mid-60's Ford drag cars.
  9. Like the others have said, this is one beautiful Impala. Just got to love that 327 rather than a W head.
  10. Nice haul, I am envious of that fine looking tan sedan body.
  11. Beautiful little pickup, fine looking paint job. And the fact you put a "real motor" in it makes it that much better; can't beat FORD power.
  12. Very cool build of an old racehorse. Used to see a bunch like that in the Hobby Stock division at Hickory Speedway back in the late 60's. Thanks for the flashback in time.
  13. You have put some outstanding detail in this kit. Your workmanship is exceptional. I noticed there appears to be some form of extra bar on the driver's side roll-cage. It runs from the bottom of the down bar behind the driver up to the bar just above the rear tire. There seems to be some form of adjustment mechanism on it. What is the purpose of that bar?
  14. Thanks for the info. I have a bunch of acid brushes around here somewhere, just got to find them.
  15. This morning I decided to take my 9mm out of the gun safe and make sure it was alright. To my surprise when I punched in my code nothing happened, no lights came on, nothing. I dug out my key, opened it and found this mess. Anybody have any ideas on how to clean up this mess?
  16. Two fantastic builds. Really shows the progression of the Funny Car bodies over the years. I think I like the Mustang best, at least it sort of represents a real car.
  17. Very nice looking MOPAR, clean build. My favorite drag cars were Gassers, Superstock & Stock, and Modified Production. That box you were using to prop up the car looks a bit familiar.
  18. Glad to see you continuing your work on this build. That angled windshield is new to me. The Bluebird I was driving before quitting was only 4 years old and it had a flat windshield. If I recall correctly, the majority, if not all, the buses in our fleet have flat windshields.
  19. May not fit in with this topic, but I am going to post anyway. Got a letter from Ford Motor Company telling me of a recall on my 2022 F150. The problem is "the windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, or cause the wipers to operate erratically and/or stop working." What is the risk? "An inoperative wiper motor has the potential for reduced visibility or loss of visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash." What is Ford Motor Company going to do about it? "Will notify by mail to schedule service appointment...for replacement of wiper motor. Parts are anticipated to be available in third quarter of 2023." I am driving down an unfamiliar road in a deluge rainstorm and my wipers decide to quit, sounds like Ford Motor Company really has concern for their customers. This lack of parts to repair or to manufacture automobiles is all a political plot to make us stop driving in order to save the planet. Where did I put my tinfoil hat?
  20. As the others have said this is one mighty fine looking F1 Ford. Very smooth paint finish and the bed really adds to the beauty of it.
  21. Don't know how many times you can call a model beautiful, but this is one beautifully done Impala. Color choice fits it very well and it is overall a very clean build.
  22. Unfortunately, that is one of my problems, I am an impulse buyer. If I am in Hobby Lobby and see their kits are% off I will try to find something on the shelf I do not have. However, that being said, the last few times I have been able to walk out without buying anything. Yet, I do have a bid in on an on-line auction right now and have just won an AMT Ford kit, with the tall top coupe, with the winning bid, buyer's premium (paying the auction company), and shipping it is going to be a very expensive kit. I really need to sell off a bunch of my stuff.
  23. That color really looks good on that body. Not too in your face, very subtle, but still very noticeable. Keep these updates coming.
  24. Very nice work on a pair of iconic racers. Love those Mustang bodies.
