  1. Great work digging this post up, Bill! Maybe someone will bump it back to the top every now and then, just for memory's sake. RIP Harry, you will be missed more than you know!
  2. I don't see any thing on the chrome tree that looks like it would work with the Boomerang lights. That's a shame, too, because they look really sharp on mild custom '57 Fords, and really stand out on '57 T-Birds!
  3. Most definitely a very sad day! Like many of us, I never met him either, but felt like I knew him. Best wishes to his family, RIP Harry.
  4. Nice work, Eric! That color was very popular through most of the '60's-early '70s, but don't see too many Lincolns in it! Well done.
  5. Another nice one, Lee! Love the color.
  6. Nicely done, Lee! Always like to see those built stock.
  7. Very nice, Bill! The '60 was always one of my favorites, well done!
  8. I agree with the rest of the guys. This should be a very easy fix, especially if you still have any of the original can you used. Just spray a little onto a hard surface, then dab a brush into it.
  9. That looks great! Like everyone else said, the color really works well on that car.
  10. I'm not surprised by that stat. Driving is a necessity of my job, I'm constantly having to drive manuals for almost all of my co-workers who are under 30, it's been that way for quite a few years now.
  11. I have a pretty good collection of decals. Quite a few of the for Indy Pace Car conversions. And also for my ships and planes because many of the big model companies won't (or can't) include historically correct insignias or nose art decals in their kits.
  12. until

It is a really good show, I plan on being there.
  13. Technically speaking, Frank, there was no direct connection between the Dodge Brothers and REO. But, Ralph Vail, the head designer at Dodge Brothers in those days, had been with Olds Motor Works before leaving for Dodge. (and Ransom Olds leaving to start REO) Which might explain the strong resemblance between the two.
  14. Definitely a big loss, he continues to inspire many musicians, in all genres, today.
  15. Always loved that body style, nicely done!
  16. Cool idea! Never understood why no one has ever made a '51. (except for a resin trans-kit)
  17. Very Well done!
  18. Looks very good, Paul. Those are really nice looking wagons.
  19. You don't have to be an expert on cars to build a model, you'd be surprised at how much cross-over there is from other hobbies you might have!
  20. Cool project, Steven! I'm surprised no one has ever kitted the '55.
  21. Nicely done, Bruce!
  22. Round 2 is doing very well re-issuing some kits that were long thought to be gone. With all the brands they now own nobody knows how many more molds they still have that may be re-issued in the future. So, unless they happen to find a mold of one of the Dream Cars, the chances of us seeing a new one from them are almost none. One exception to this would be the very slight possibility that they may decide to reverse-engineer the original Batmobile kit back into the Lincoln Futura. (If that is even possible) But, on the other hand, we all see how well Moebius has done issuing some subjects that very few people thought any one would buy! So if there is any chance for us to see a new tooled show car, I would think it would most likely come from Moebius.
  23. Very cool idea Frank! Always love seeing stock '32s. Your choice of sheen of black on the engine accessories and chassis parts, and especially the green on the engine, looks pretty close to dead-on correct.
  24. Try the Model A Restorer's Club, or Model A Ford Club of America's sites for the AA wheels. For the BB, maybe the Early V8 club.
  25. I totally agree. Also, buying locally, I can inspect the item before I buy it, have it in my hands right then, and not have to worry about it getting lost or damaged in transit, or stolen from my porch if it arrives when I'm not home.
