  1. You can get either type at any local craft store, it is used for many different things. As far as which one is better, it is a matter of preference.
  2. The high parts count in automotive kits never phases me. I build cars when I need a break from ship building, which like the armor kits, pretty routinely have parts counts well over 1000.
  3. Very nice, Donald! That is a really nice kit.
  4. Very nice, Bruce. Love that blue!
  5. That always is a very nice show. Our '31 Model A (which was built in Walkerville, ON, and given a concours restoration at The Guild in Bradford) was displayed there in about '02-'03, and drew alot of attention.
  6. Mopar styling always stood apart from Ford and GM. Also, you can recognize the sound of a Mopar starting from a mile away!
  7. All depends on how you look at things. I also graduated in '86, I feel WAY better now than I did then!
  8. It is nice to see this one back. I got the re-issue of the 3 in 1 Trophy series a few months ago, it has the flip-up tonneau cover and bed rails, but no camper. Having no current '59 Chevy on the market leaves an unusual gap in a long line of Chevy kits.
  9. Very well done, as always, Yuri!
  10. Looks really good, well done!
  11. I was thinking the same thing as the rest of you guys about this one being very doubtful because of a lack of a racing pedigree, and no real options for customizing, until I saw the pics that Ace posted. Also, at least some of the were used by police departments, and probably fire departments as well. (Which seems to be a growing niche in the hobby) And a severe lack of Mopars of this era being represented. Who knows, maybe us lunatics have enough of a say to get this one made.
  12. Very well done, Brandon!
  13. Nice find there, Ron! It actually does look pretty straight and clean.
  14. Cool! I missed the last re-issue, it's getting a little pricey for how recent that was!
  15. Beautiful build of a very nice kit, Mike. Well done!
  16. Beautiful job on a very unusual subject, Rich!
  17. Very tastefully done, Paul!
  18. Excellent build, Bill, as well as the story! Have seen surprisingly few of these here since they were released!
  19. Don't lose hope yet, Bill! The caps in #2 were deluxe caps in '57. (sometimes referred to as "turbines") Quite often extra cost options like these were carried over unchanged for more than one year. With a little investigation you may well find that they were used in '58, and maybe '59 as well! I can confirm they were not offered in '60, though.
  20. I'd toss out the word "almost" there, Mike. But, insurance companies are for-profit organizations, they only make a profit for NOT paying out on the policies we all pay for! Hopefully Harry has some people in the right places that can get that decision over-turned, and get the care that he so desperately needs.
  21. Nice start there, Gene. That kit can be a real hand full, but that is a beautiful car, so it's well worth it!
  22. Very interesting idea! I have seen a few unusual 1:1s done like that. (I remember a Vega and a Pinto in particular)
  23. Did you ever see the skit on SNL where Bob Dylan was going to perform with Tom Petty? (Dana Carvey played the part of Petty, I don't remember who played Dylan) They had subtitles running across the bottom of the screen like in foreign films. It was really funny!
  24. The spring equinox happens around March 21 every year, so after Feb. 2, there is ALWAYS about six more weeks of winter!
