  1. Fireball lists these dog-dish caps and steel wheels for 68-69 Camaros. Would they be good for the Chevelle as well?
  2. I think my favorite parts in this kit are the correct "Power By Ford" valve covers! This the first time they've ever been done in a kit and are not only good for a 69 Boss 302, but also every 351C, 351M and 400 through the 1970's.
  3. Good point Bill. I'll have to check them all out when I get the new kit. I was thinking adding the side scoops would be beyond my ability. I have one of the DMold sets coming for the Mach I anyway and I'll be interested to see how it stacks up with the new Revell nose.
  4. All the Revellogram 69/70 Mustangs share the same DNA that started with the 70 Boss 429 back in the early 80's. The way you can tell is all of them, including the new Boss 302, have Boss 429 shock towers. The Boss 9 cars had the shock towers moved outwards by Kar Kraft to accommodate the wide Boss engine. All other Mustangs weren't "scooped out" where the strut braces attach. See the photos below
  5. I haven't got the new kit yet. Has anyone tried the new nose on the old Mach I body? I was wondering if it would fit.
  6. Although Lindberg ended up with all the Pyro tooling, I'm not aware of them ever reissuing any of the Pyro bikes, like the Yamaha and BSA. The Lindberg BMW, Harley, Triumph and Honda were not made from Pyro tools, they were tooled up by Lindberg themselves. It's interesting that these 4 bikes were also made in 1/8 scale by Revell. I've always suspected that Lindberg simply copied and scaled down the Revell kits to make them.
  7. Zero Paints makes the correct color for this bike. It's available from Hobbyworld USA http://www.hobbyworld-usa.com/Store/index.php?id_product=7007&controller=product
  8. A Ranger would be pretty easy to do. The seats were just 65/66 Mustang seats and the console was from a 64/65 Falcon. The door panels and steering wheel were just the standard custom cab parts. The only external identification is the insert that says "Ranger" instead of "Twin I Beam". That could be done with a decal.
  9. This x1000!! We know the tooling exists to do it. What are they waiting for?
  10. Fernando's kits are really nice. I have all the land speed record ones. The castings are not up to Modelhaus/RMCM/HRM standards, but not awful either. He has subject matter that no one else does and that matters a lot. I have his laced wheels for the Airfix 1/12 Bentley and they should improve the looks of that kit a bunch.
  11. I have several AirTrax kits. In general, the ones cast by Juha are better in quality. The "Juha cast" ones I have are the Marauder X-100, Dodge Mirada, Triumph TR-6 and they are excellent. The others are cast by Tapani: Ford Cortina Super Estate, Aston Martin DB V8, Anglia 100E & Triumph Herald. The last two I bought many years ago and they are pretty rough. The other, more recent "Tapani cast" ones are much better, but still require more clean-up. The Aston in particular. Still, it's better than carving one from scratch.
  12. My understanding is there were parts tooled for a B/FX version.
  13. I have an original "Cruising Van" kit and the wheels in it are not correct to the box art. They look more like magnum 500 wheels to me. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with. The Moebius 71 Ranger hubcaps are pretty close. The re-issue will at least include a better decal sheet. AMT kits in the 70's had pretty poor decals. They were usually very transparent.
  14. Could you possibly do these decals for the re-issued International Scout SSII? They're the ones on either side of the license plate on the tailgate. Round2 updated the decal sheet from the original kit, but did not add these.
  15. I sure hope so. I always hated having to weed through his overpriced junk when I was searching for items.
  16. I'd be interested in a nice set of 79 Mustang Pace Car decals: And the "Official Truck" would be awesome too:
  17. I've bought 3 kits from him, but I always did it through ebay. There is a Ford N listed there right now. The seller is "cipmodels". Keep in mind, it takes a LONG time to get stuff from him (several months), but he has always come through for me.
  18. Is JBot still in business? Their website is up, but it doesn't appear they are taking orders.
  19. Does anyone make Caterpillar logo decals for the re-issued AMT bulldozer kit?
  20. I'll believe it when I see it. Randy had some great products that would be awesome to have back, but I'm not holding my breath.
  21. I got a call from Carol this afternoon that my order was shipping this week. Since I mailed that order on the very last day they were accepting them, they must be getting very near the end. I really have to hand it to them for sticking it out and completing all these orders. There aren't many out there who would do that.
  22. I'd like to see an all new tool of an Aston DB4 or DB5. The Aurora and Airfix kits are ok, but both have flaws and proportional issues.
  23. I agree with Rob, the 550 count baseball card boxes are all I use!
  24. I picked up this resin 47 Ford sportsman today. Does anyone know who made this? It was in a bag with no identification. It's made for the old Testors/IMC Ford kit so it pre-dates the Revell 48 Ford.
  25. I've seen the 1/12 GTO that Brad has and it's an incredible kit. I can only imagine what you could do with one of those! I have two of the 1/9 bikes that MFH has done, the Vincent and the Harley Knucklehead. The detail level must be seen to be believed. The Harley even has a separate light bulb for the headlight and a photoetched needle for the speedometer!
