  1. I picked up the MFH 250 Lusso at a show last weekend. It's a pricey kit, but very well done. The Lusso is my absolute favorite Ferrari. I think it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made. I had considered the AirTrax version, but even that's pretty expensive and it's only a transkit. The MFH version is a complete kit with a nice engine and excellent photoetched wire wheels. I think it's well worth the extra cost.
  2. I'll be patiently awaiting Bob Downie's article on improving the door panels for this kit, LOL
  3. I have the new tool promo they did years ago and I'm pretty sure they corrected the window openings on it. It's buried in the stash somewhere so i can't look at it. Can anyone confirm this?
  4. I started on one of these this weekend. It's a nicely engineered kit, but I'm really disappointed by the lack of quality control. The body in mine was decent but there was warpage on many other parts. The worst being the lower part of the K-member. It's disfigured to the point of being unusable, despite my attempts to bend it into place. Now I'm going to have to steal one from one of my other kits. I'd like to get a replacement, but I've heard it's difficult to get parts from Moebius.
  5. Where did you get a resin shortbed F-100?
  6. Well JC, Thanks for the kind words, but I wouldn't say it started out in good shape, LOL. It actually started out as this: I grafted on a Ranchero front end to fix it.
  7. Here's what mine looks like with the 67 Mustang chassis. As you can see, I had to add a lot of strip styrene to the edges to fill the gaps. After seeing yours, I'll probably switch to the Trumpeter chassis Here's a shot of the 60 grille: This is what it looks like in place. It's just taped in. I still have to do a lot of fitting. I have the front valence roughed in. I still need to add the holes. Oddly, the car I'm doing has a front bumper. I just wanted it to be separate from the grille.
  8. That's looking great JC! One of my (many) stalled projects is a 60 Falcon gasser. I never thought of using the Trumpeter chassis, but I really like the way it fits! I widened a 67 Mustang chassis and got it to fit decent, but the Trumpeter has the advantage of wider wheel tubs which would be nice. If you want to use a 60 grille, I made one that will work without a front bumper. Removing the bumper leaves a "notch" in the grille which I fixed by grafting a piece in from another grille. I also removed the molded in headlights and replaced them with headlight buckets. Norman cast it for me so he probably still has the mold. Are you coming to the next MAMA meeting? If so, please bring it along and I'll bring mine.
  9. Mini Exotics made a Ranchero years ago. They are extremely hard to find and if i recall weren't the greatest casting. I really wish someone would do a new one.
  10. I'll third it! His Bronco parts are beyond awesome!
  11. Paul, when will the country sedan be available? I really want to buy one! Would you consider offering the grille by itself?
  12. I have one done in resin, it was in a plain box when I got it, so I have no idea who made it. It's a pretty nice casting.
  13. I have the Ford N-series and F-800 that he does. They are really nice!. He's in Romania and shipping can take several months. You have to be patient. He's been really good to deal with, though.
  14. Does anyone know of a wheel and tire combo similar to this? Either from a kit of aftermarket. It looks to be around a 17" rim.
  15. Fireball already makes tires that should work on this, unless the wheels are an odd size.
  16. That looks great! I'm surprised no one's ever done one before. The Loadstar was used for all sorts of things. Around here, it seemed like every other farm had at least one!
  17. A few more: Monogram Land Rover MPC Dodge Warlock
  18. My personal wish list: Ertl International S-series F-2575 Ertl International 1466 Tractor AMT "Wild Hoss" 78 Ford Bronco AMT Ford LNT 8000 Tractor MPC Ford Off-Road Van Monogram Chevy Off-Road Van Monogram Chevy Luv "Mojave Mule"
  19. That's looking great Paul!! I can't wait until it's ready. It's a "must buy" for me!
  20. This is a combo set Round 2 could do. As far as I know all the kits are accounted for:
  21. Ollie's always seems to have Lindberg kits in their stores. They only get Round2 (AMT/MPC) and Revell stuff once or twice a year. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which stores get what. Some have a decent selection one time and nothing the next. As for where they get them, it's hard to tell. The stuff they got this time isn't exactly undesirable junk. Who knows, stacks of Revell Model A Coupes may show up there at some point!
  22. The 24th annual Mid-Atlantic NNL is this Saturday, May 13th. Hosted by the Maryland Automotive Modelers Association. It will be held at the Columbian Center, 335 N. Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland 21146. Doors open at 9AM.
  23. It's working for me now.
  24. I was there the day before and they only had the Lindberg stuff. I work in Edgewood, so it's not too far if I go afterwards.
  25. I remember the "checkerboard" AMT kits! The quality control on those was pretty bad. Someone once told me they selected the subjects for those based on how close the tooling was to the molding machine! That's hilarious if true. Good thing Round2 came in and saved them!
