  1. I think the box art is supposed to represent the colours of the car used when the Boxster was launched, so I think it's supposed to be Arctic Silver with the Boxster Red interior. In reality, Boxster Red is sort of an odd orange-y red. But I think your choices match the box art perfectly, and I think your interior colour choice is better than Boxster Red.
  2. Excellent work! Your paint is fantastic.
  3. I think you'll find that Ray is very well respected, and makes an excellent product. And being a one person shop, sometimes delays happen. Now admitted, 5 months is quite a delay. I would be shocked if he didn't try and make it right with you. Here's another thread about Ray's Kits Decals.
  4. That is a strange and bizarre combo. And I like it.
  5. Well, started the new job yesterday. I am now the Commercial Sales Manager for Canada for Arctic Trucks North America. And as the only Canadian employee, right now I'm responsible for pretty much everything Arctic Trucks does up here. Lots of responsibility, but lots of growth potential. Plus, I get to work with stuff like this. The silver truck is actually coming to live with me.
  6. I have around 100-110 NASCAR diecast cars available. And one hauler truck/trailer. Plus a handful of Superbirds/Daytonas. My dad used to collect these, but now we working on cleaning out some of the stuff in the house, so mum can eventually downsize. All are in mint condition, as they've been in a glassed in display shelf for years and years. Never played with! I might have the original boxes for these too. Will have to search a little further. The 1/18 Bullitt Mustang is also available. I MIGHT consider breaking up the collection. So for example, if someone wanted all the Jeff Gordon stuff, or if someone wanted just the Fords. Or whatever. The buses and the lifeboat are NOT available. Nor are some of the non-NASCAR cars. I'm looking for a few things: Range Rover kit - Revell, Fujimi preferred Porsches - I have a lot, but always looking for more. Revell / Fujimi Mercedes 230TE wagon/estate BMW - Tamiya, Fujimi, Hasegawa Tamiya Volvo 850 BTCC - sedan or estate Revell London Bus The photoetch sets for the Revell London Bus Large scale Tamiya Porsche would be sweet. Thanks.
  7. I'll always remember him as Darth Vader. SO many amazing performances though.
  8. Both cars are front engine, rear wheel drive, with no traction assist of any kind. The Lincoln might have ABS, but in '88, probably not. So for winter driving, they'll handle the roads in basically the same way. I would assume the Lincoln has a better heater, and will just in general be a more comfortable car. Using only what you've told us and shown us though, and provided it has a good heater, and the defrost works well, I'd lean towards the Nova. And a set of winter tires would be a must on either car.
  9. Update! I have no update. I really do need to get back on this one.
  10. I have the set from the AMT Fruehauf trailer. Are the trailer 5 spokes and the drive wheels off a tractor the same? Can take pics if you need them.
  11. If I didn't already have the Bugatti, I'd be into that.
  12. I'm more interested in the background! I see a Ranchero (I think) plus a couple of nice Ramchargers. Is that a Scout under one of those tarps?
  13. Holy moly. Well, I haven't purchased a new model car kit at all this year. Trying to work my way through the stash. But this one will change that. I see a couple of these getting to my Porsche collection.
  14. Yeah, I haven't worried about it too much, because the normal Duracells just last for so long. Having said that, when I get around to it, I do have a solar setup to mount on top of my Tahoe, so will be able to more easily charge while camping.
  15. Had to look this up. Have never hear of the Boar's Head brand before.
  16. I have the slightly updated version, designed for use on their little green propane bottles. And I hate it. I end up replacing that mantle every other time we use it. So delicate. Really haven't used it in decades. We now have two Coleman lanterns, full LED. Each takes a few D batteries, and they last forever. Can easily take these out for several camping weekends, run them at night, and have no worries about batteries. But they're red in colour, and don't match the three burner Coleman stove we use. And we use that thing a lot.
  17. I handed in my resignation today. So after almost three years, I've left the Ford dealer. Taking a few days to decompress and reflect and all that. Next week, I start the new adventure.
  18. Surely after this weekend's amazing Ferrari win, and their sweep of the 2024 F1 season's Italian races, there must be someone who wants to add a Ferrari or two to their stash! So bumpity bump bump.
  19. That is most impressive. I like his air bag suspension solution. I don't know why, but I get a kick out of his utilization of his YouTube plaque.
  20. I have a few here that need a new home. All of these kits are new and unstarted. In most cases, box is open, but all bags are sealed. KITT is still factory sealed. I have a parts kit of this Camaro SS too, that I'll include for whoever takes this one. This Chev truck is still factory sealed. So what am I after? I like euro-subject matter, especially Porsche and Land Rovers. I like big rigs; both trucks and trailers. There are a few photoetch sets for the Revell London Bus that I need. Actually...I'd trade all of the above for a complete and unstarted Revell London Bus. Keep in mind, I'm in Canada. I'll ship anywhere, but some people won't ship to other countries.
  21. They would sell a ton of these if they put a small turbo 4 in the front, manual transmission, simplified the body work, and kept it rear drive.
  22. Hands down, my all time, number 1, must have collector car has been a Porsche 964 Carrera RS. In Maritime Blue.
  23. I've been saying this for years! Not just some of the newer Round2 releases, but some of the art on Tamiya's kits would make for great posters. And when you get into the world of aircraft, Airfix is missing out on a gold mine!
