  1. The same could be said for anyone that builds things that serve no real purpose. Such as plastic models. Or Lego. Or hot rods. Why put the effort in to that?
  2. People think this is all new. But the very first Porsche was an all wheel drive electric car.
  3. Awesome! I built the Jagermeister and Bosch versions many, many years ago and they have not survived. I have this one and the Martini in the stash, looking for the other two. I love these 90s touring cars.
  4. Your paintwork is fantastic. I had always heard/thought that these didn't build up well. Stance, wheel fitment, overall details...just didn't work. I think you're proving that wrong. Awesome work on my fav Ferrari.
  5. Ripley's still has a show?! Now THAT should be a believe it or not story! And it is pretty impressive!
  6. Thursday is just the launch event. Production hasn't started yet, and deliveries aren't scheduled to happen for several months. Having said that, your proximity to the factory tells me you 're probably going to see some press cars and pre-production cars bombing around.
  7. I will be truly shocked if base price is anything close to that.
  8. The debut is next Thursday. I'm actually impressed with how under wraps Chev has kept this thing. No undisguised pics have leaked out yet, and it's less than a week from its launch. Will be interestig to see how it looks, and more importantly, how they price it. I think there can be no doubt that the price will go up significantly over the C7. But where GM tries to position this new Vette will be interesting. Sticking to the core American muscle car guys? Slightly lofty goals like competing with Porsche and the Nissan GTR? Or shoot for the moon and go for Ferrari and McLaren? So far, I think the biggest misstep has been sticking with the 6.2L V8 when there is a perfectly good Twin Turbo 4.4L V8 in the Cadillac CT6 that pumps out more horsepower, revs faster, and is lighter than that 6.2L and delivers better fuel economy while doing it.
  9. Castrol Super Clean is available at Canadian Tire. In the auto section with carwash supplies. That's where I get mine
  10. Hi everyone, I have bunch of Hot Wheels and Matchbox 1/64 cars available. These are all still in the blister packs. The glue dried out on a couple of the packs, but they're still intact. Matchbox: Audi RS6 Avant Audi R8 Porsche GT3 Porsche 914 Volkswagen GTI - green (two) Volkswagen GTI - orange Volkswagen Caddy Hot Wheels: Volkswagen Type 181 Thing Volkswagen Brazilia Volkswagen SP1 Volkwagen Scirroco BMW 2002 Will trade all for a plastic car/truck of some description. If interested, let me know what you have. I like a little bit of everything, so I'm sure we can figure something out.
  11. For Canada's 150th birthday, the RCAF dressed up one of their CF-18s. Good looking plane. I don't typically build planes, but I have one of these in the stash with the correct markings and decals.
  12. It's not just 2 door SUVs. Go around and look at dealerships. How many two door cars are available? Count the number of two door trucks. For most manufacturers, two doors on anything just don't sell anymore in numbers that justify the cost of production. People want the convenience and practicality that four doors offer. There are exceptions of course, but overall, two doors just don't fly.
  13. That section is not for purely commercial vehicles. Says right in the name of the section. "Under Glass: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial" Your pickups aren't pickups? They must be cars then? They are beautifully done, and definitely not commercial, but they are pickups and as such belong in the pickup section. But what do I know...
  14. We still specialize in commercial trucks, but you wouldn't know it lately. 2018 BMW X5 2017 Maserati Levante S 1967/68? (not sure) Firebird
  15. Really nice. Now that you mention the tail dragger stance...i look at the one I finished and wish I had noticed! maybe I'll just fab up a box of some kind to put in the back. I like the paint scheme on yours. Much more aggressive than others I've seen, including mine.
  16. I love these oddball kits. I think when I get to mine, I'm going to search he stash for tires that don't look like AT tires though! And I'm totally going to copy your method of lowering it! Ride height looks bang on now.
  17. Have a look at the tires on the Meng Jeep Wrangler! Trying to remember how they are labelled, but it's pretty ridiculous.
  18. Thanks for posting this Tim. It's apparently very difficult and/or highly inconvenient for people to post their pickups in the pickups section. It's also highly inconvenient to look in a different section of the site. Perhaps there should only be one section for the entire site. If every single post goes in one section, then there should be no confusion about where to post. Problem solved.
  19. I'd say its due to licensing fees. If the licensing to use Firestone logos is significantly less than Goodyear, then it should be of no surprise that the tire brand changes. Model companies probably aren't rolling in dough, so if they can save a few bucks of licening, then they do.
  20. Could get lost on that site! So many cool finds.
  21. Condolences on the loss of your friend. I lost my dad to brain cancer earlier this year, so I understand.
  22. Top three for me. The U2. There a certain elegance about this plane that I like. Speaking of elegance...the Corcorde. But for me, hands down, it has to be the Avro Arrow. So much potential that never came to be because of politics and kowtowing to other governments.
  23. I can't imagine it was a huge seller. If they do reissue, I don't think it'll be any time soon. One day I'll get to mine.
  24. If you hadn't mentioned it, I'd have never guessed you were dealing with a warped frame. WHatever you've done to hide it, great job!
