  1. I just googled "1941 Ford Panel." Glad I could help.
  2. Here's the box art! Your original build looked better than the images on the instructions!
  3. I figured I'd build Dennis' car first, as i love Chargers. The both the silver car and the red car have been started. I'll actually be making it a foursome, as in the original source, Dennis drive a 75 Duster. Which I also have a kit of.
  4. It's not really that much about the Cobra. It's more about Ford's attempt to purchase Ferrari and then building the GT40 out of spite. And the movie looks fantastic!
  5. Awesome! I have this kit and have been wondering how it builds up. The pic on the instructions did not inspire confidence. Good to know ahead of time that right height will need to be adjusted. Looking forward to the rest of the story!
  6. You can still get a new F150, or any other domestic half ton for $25k CDN...depending on the spec you want. I've actually dealt with guys who want Camaros or Mustangs, then freak at the price, and I move them into a 2WD V8 truck for way less. THey still get V8 performance and save money.
  7. Whoa! Someone actually building this kit and not selling it?! I had mine up for sale with no takers, and I run across others at garage sales and antique sales all the time. Have never actually seen it built. Looks like it's building up nicely. May have to rethink selling it. Watching for updates!
  8. If it was a manual, I would have kept mine. I really enjoyed this car. Actually enjoyed it more than the Challenger I had.
  9. If it's not for commercial use, and you're not reprinting or selling them, then just use the snip tool on your PC. And then you get this.... 05/30/19 06/20/19 06/22/19
  10. Back in the mid-90s, I was working for the local Porsche dealer. We sold one of our pre-owned cars to the Taj Ma Garaj. Porsche 944 Turbo Rothman's Cup racecar. Our car was one of the spares, and was never actually raced in that series. We did take it our to PCA track days though. It was red, still had all of the race parts installed, including the straight pipe exhaust with removable baffles. Thing of beauty. Since buying it, he installed all of the Rothman's decals. And in doing some searching, our car is indeed a part of the auction.
  11. No matter where a topic is posted, someone is going to complain about it. If we leave it, we'll get PMs about it being in the wrong place. If we move it, we get PMs about it being in the wrong place. You would all be shocked at the number of threads that get reported to us about being in the wrong place. There are only 4 of us, and this is not our day job. We see a thread, we make a quick judgement call when we can, then move on. I didn't move the offending thread in question here, but if I see a thread about truck parts, i'm moving it to the truck section. Apologies for not pleasing everyone at all times.
  12. A little competition improves everyone! Horsepower wars are a great thing.
  13. I would be surprised to see GM cancel the Camaro. Much like Ford and Chrysler, GM needs a halo car or two. And not just the Corvette. They need a car that is within reach of most people. Something cool and fun, but relatively affordable. The Mustang does it for Ford, the Charger/Challenger/300 for FCA, and the Camaro for GM. As for pricing, I had a play with our builder at work. Using the most basic V8 powered trim level available, and adding manual transmission, summer tires, performance exhaust, and a big stereo...the Challenger and Mustang can be had for around $38-40k CDN, and the Camaro is around $41-42k. So it's slightly more, but not a lot. Especially for those looking at making payments or leasing. Personally, I'd go for the Challenger. oh wait...i did! Sold it, but I did.
  14. This one turned out awesome. Interior is fantastic. I can almost see those seats staining already, just like the real thing! If I had one suggestion, it would be to adjust the ride height. Or finish the 4X4 conversion.
  15. Looks fantastic! Don't need to change a thing.
  16. This should be the next community build. Coke all the things!
  17. Yeah, I'm aware. That was me cracking a joke at AMT's expense, as it seems like everything they release gets a Coke re-issue. I'm fully expecting a Coca Cola Romulan Warbird, a Coke Batmobile, and a Coke Construction bulldozer.
  18. I have a friend in the industry and was discussing these with him. He hates them. They look to plastic, they're ugly, keep the classic trucks. So i bring up the larger cab, improved visibility, improved comfort, more ergonomic dash and switches, better lighting, improved drivetrains with better fuel economy. Nope, the old trucks are better. So then I ask why he bought a new Ram 1500 Limited and didn't buy and old truck. Because the new trucks are more comfortable, have more equipment, better fuel economy. He failed to see the irony, even after I pointed it out.
  19. 2018 Yukon Denali...with a Whipple supercharger and a ridiculously loud exhaust. All chrome trim has been colour matched. 3/5 drop and some ugly wheels. Pretty cool, but not sure who this is supposed to appeal to. I'm a huge fan of the aftermarket, but this thing is loud and rides like a lumberwagon. Still...I kinda want it.
  20. So are AMT just putting Coke decals on literally everything now?
  21. I think that 567 is a good looking truck. And it's been on the market for at least a year now. So maybe the plan was to introduce it and then phase out the 389?
  22. The oldest in my collection is one I didn't build. My dad built this replica of the car we had when I was young. I'm guessing the build is from the late 70s. The grille was missing, so I sourced a replacement through this board. I found a sealed (until I unsealed it) NIB kit last year, and will be building a more accurate representation of our old car.
  23. I know what you mean. When I'm looking at a kit, i'll google search it to see what it actually looks like built, because as we all know, the boxes can be deceiving. There are a lot kits where i see a ton of box pics, but no pics of actual built models. Always thought that was weird.
