  1. I loved this one, reminds me of my first car, a brown 1978 Thunderbird.
  2. The 8th annual Partsource Show N Shine went down yesterday. Great weather, and a ton of vehicles showed up. I was going to sort these, but whatever. ?
  3. Turned out awesome. Honestly, I hate the subject, as it's my least fav Batmobile, but yours is by far the best build I've seen of this. Even with the issues. Those extra details went a long way for sure.
  4. I need the experts on flocking to chime in here. I don't go super crazy when detailing my builds, but I almost always add carpet. i have a few bags of the Detail Master flocking in various colours. I find that the black is never an issue, and always lays down perfectly. However, the grey and the tan ALWAYS come out blotchy, or they don't stick properly. I use the same technique. White glue and a little water mixed together, brushed onto the painted surface, flocking liberally applied, patted down, then after 10 min or so, the excess is shaken off. As I said, the black always has perfect coverage and looks great, greys and tans are always an issue. Always, without fail. i haven't tried my red yet, but will be soon. Anyone else experience this? Any tips? Thanks!
  5. Looking great so far!
  6. Looks like Bruce had a tough day at the office! Looking forward to seeing this one completed.
  7. Personally, I prefer print over digital. Generally, I dislike being around a screen in my downtime. I'd much rather go sit in the backyard with a beer and flip pages that to swipe across a screen. So I hope that a solution is found and that Gregg gets everything he's working on completed. Paid vs non-paid forum membership. I've seen this go so wrong at other forums, having been both a paid and non-paid member at various forums. It just seems to create a class system, with the paid members feeling that they should get more for their money, or that they should have a say in the operation of the site. And I fell into that mindset too. I'd rather see some other solution, and keep the forums 100% cost free.
  8. Completely ridiculous. And I love it! The only thing I'd change would be to make it look more stock. Sleeper Taurus with 1000hp.
  9. Not sure if it's Spotify or the forum, but I can't post the SPotify link tight now. I'm listening to There's A Light quite a bit lately. https://theresalight.bandcamp.com/
  10. Nice build! i have the Airfix M1 on the bench. It goes together well, and is reasonably accurate. Except for the wheels. And the overall stance needs to be adjusted. Both front and rear track are too narrow for the body, so spacers are a must.
  11. Excellent! Love the wheels.
  12. As mentioned, that Caddy is the Sbarro Tag Function car. And a few were actually built. Sbarro have always built wacky cars. And still do to this day!
  13. My only real memory of him is unfortunately his performance in Thomas and The Magic Railroad. My kids watched that movie constantly when they were small. Peter's performance was...less than stellar. i really feel like I should be consoling his daughter right now though. Bridget is definitely the best thing he's ever produced.
  14. Well said. I like this definition. In your scenario, here are two responses. Responses I have seen around here on several occasions. Option 1: "Well, you screwed that up didn't you? Automotive paint on plastic. Good grief." or Option 2: "As an FYI, you might have some issues with this in the future. Automotive paints have a solvent that can soften plastic, and this could lead to warping." The idea of have a nice and civilized response has come up before. And there is an active member here who specifically said that the nice response was just sugarcoating things for snowflakes who can't handle criticism. I don't know...which response was more helpful to the builder?
  15. Wow that looks good. Nice job!
  16. I'm all for critique, and welcome it. But with the talk lately about being civil, how info is presented is a big deal. Constructive criticism vs criticism. Big difference.
  17. That's a good point. I've posted builds and had people point out my inaccuracies. "Those wheels were never offered on that year." is one comment I received. "That interior colour is wrong, the blue is too dark." Ugh. If people want to get ultra accurate with their own builds, that's great. I love seeing that kind of obsession and talent. Just don't judge my builds to your standards. For the most part, there isn't a lot of open criticism like that. Even the grumpiest of folks are pretty good and keeping that kind of negativity away from Under Glass or build threads. Every now and then though...
  18. Yup. My frustration level depends on the severity of my mistake though. Sometimes it drives me so nuts I put the kit away or start unbuilding it. Other times, I shrug, and move on, finishing the build.
  19. Some people fine rivet counting fun, some find it tedious and pointless. Some people find slapping a kit together quickly and as per instructions fun, others find it haphazard and careless. At the end of the day, you are building for you. And if you find your methods are fun and they give you the satisfaction that you need, then you have my support, even if I would never build something that way.
  20. The sign next to that one said it's a one family vehicle, same ownership since new. Had the tilt bed and a gain dispenser on it. And everything still works.
  21. Forgot this one. This was the other car that really grabbed my attention. Lowered Cadillac...with a Cummins diesel.
  22. I absolutely loved this Ramcharger. He wouldn't open the hood, but with a boost retarder and a rear fuel cutoff, something awesome must be going on under there.
