Here's some interesting things we've had locally over the years.

You know what? I'm totally going to do this. At first I just said it as a joke, but I went through this thread and have a list of 30 peeves. This is going to be fun.

I think the build looks great, but you're right. What is going on with those wheels? Surprised to see that from a Fujimi kit. Overall though, nice job!

clearlyscale.com has a very nicely detailed Hellcat engine!

Personally, I open everything I get. I want to open it up and check out the pieces, make sure everything is there and in good condition. I've had a Revell Challenger that had no tires in it, and a Revell Ramcharger with an insanely warped body. Had I not checked, I'd never know until I tried to build them. And at the rate I'm going, they'd be vintage kits before I get to them. Then I'd have no hope for replacement parts. As for future value...I honestly could not care less. I buy kits, whether new or old, with the intention of building them. They'll be opened eventually, might as well open them now and check it out. Future value means exactly zero to me. Ktis are a hobby, not an investment. My two cents.

I'm going to make a note of every pet peeve in this thread, and then build one kit that incorporates all of them. Making heads explode!

That's the stuff of my dreams now! I'd love an Esprit. But at 6'6", I don't fit.

So I flipped the fenders back to the way I like them. Test fit the engine, and I'm happy. Engine sits exactly how I wanted it. Plenty of clearance for the hood. Now to try adding the turbocharger and the intercooler. Interior is going to be a challenge for me.

Found this for about half what they normally go for, couldn't resist. Brand new and sealed.

Personally, I don't count photoshop creations as being "eligible" for this thread.

Holy cow. Is there anyone who has had more kits made of their cars than him?

Thanks guys! I kind of figured this was the reasoning behind it. Can you imagine, if they change that rule? Have you seen the typical U-Haul renter? Most of them have no business with a cargo van, let alone a cubevan or a trailer.

Question for the truck experts. I see a lot of trucks around with "Not For Hire" decals on them. In most cases, it's on a tractor that is hauling a large 5th wheel camper, or maybe a race hauler. It seems that if a truck is not being used as a commercial vehicle, they have "Not For Hire" decals. Is there some sort of legal reason for this? Just curious. Pics of examples, and one pic that's just cool.

Have any more pics of the blue/green T3? Also, and more importantly, where did you find the VR6 in the Mk1 Golf? I want one! The stretched T3 is awesome. Nice collection!

We had a green one growing up. Somewhere around here I made a thread about that car, and the kit version my dad built back in the 70s. So I'm doing my own build of our old car.

I'm looking at the driveshaft, and I have a question. Does this kit have a adjustable suspension? Will you be able to display this laying frame or jacked up, depending on your mood?

They're so 70s and so cheesy, but man what I would give to find an affordable one today!

Update! I found the trailer! I now have everything I'll need to complete this one.

I finally found one of my holy grail kits at a reasonable cost! AMT '75 Matador X, factory sealed, and significantly under $50 CDN. And it was in Canada, so shipping took a couple of days. I've been hunting this one for a ong time, so I'm pretty stoked! I also finally found a trailer kit that I've been hunting for quite some time too! AMT 40ft post van. Open, but bags sealed and 100% complete. I need this for my TAT 2018 build.
