  1. lolz The Esprit has always been one of my fav cars, even though it really is flawed in so many ways. This one WILL get built. Eventually.
  2. So is this one based on the Esprit Sport 300? I'm scared to start mine because of the horror stories I hear about this kit!
  3. FYI, I still have these slotcars available. Will trade for plastic!
  4. Digging that Fox body!
  5. So a little history on the Shelby F150. It's not a real Shelby, it's not built by Shelby. These are built by a Texas Ford dealer called Tuscany Ford. They have obtained official licensing and rights from Shelby Corporation to build these trucks, and they are fully warrantied by both Shelby and Ford, and they are fully recognized by Shelby. Dealerships can then become authorized Shelby dealers and can order these in. SO it's entirely possible the Ford dealer in FSJ is an authorized Shelby dealer. As an FYI, this truck is about $135k CDN. Plus tax. For an F150. Here's some more trucks they'll build for you. http://www.drivetuscany.com/ There's a Tonka F150 bombing around here. It's even goofier in person than it sounds.
  6. I like it when factories play around like this. Not to completely hijack you thread, but BMW has built a few M3 pickups like this over the years. Build them for fun, then use them as parts runners for their shop, and of course as promo vehicles.
  7. I need to find one of those Eliminator kits.
  8. I would totally try and snag that! It's both goofy and awesome!
  9. So my career focuses mainly on commercial vehicles. White trucks, white vans, that's my bread and butter. Having said that, we do a lot of personal and fun vehicles too. Today, we had three show up that really stood out on our lot. 2018 Camaro RS. Yeah, it has a V6. But it's a 340hp V6 and has a really nice suspension set up. Definite eye candy. 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ. Fire truck red with 22" wheels. I normally HATE chrome, but this truck just pops. 2017 Shelby F150. Yeah, these aren't true Shelbys, but it's still neat. According to the badges, this supercharged 5.0L has 750hp. Didn't feel like it to me, but it still felt quick. And that supercharger whine is kind of addictive! Still, it's a Ford, so I'm surprised it didn't break on me or have something fall off. The dealer cleaned it, but didn't touch underhood. How a truck with 250km on it gets an engine this dirty, I'll never figure out. Ahh well, goes for detailing tomorrow. And I have a 2018 arriving in a couple of weeks for the same client. Believe it or not, this is a work truck.
  10. Proof that the 80s were a dumb decade! And I love it. Would totally bring that back to life in all its 80s glory!
  11. Had it a week, have cleaned it four times already. Gotta love black! SUV makes more sense for me right now, plus the Ram 1500 I had ordered is coming without the "standard" eTorque hybrid system, and that bugs me, so I picked up this. 2018 Tahoe LT with the Z71 Midnight package. All blacked out, with 18" Goodyear Duratracs and slightly improved ground clearance. An SUV I can actually take places, like unserviced logging roads on Vancoiuver Island, which I'll be doing in less than two months. Has rear dvd, 2nd row bucket seats, and WiFi so the kiddies will be happy on the roadtrips. Big stereo, sunroof, nav, Driver Alert package, and all the other bells and whsitles. Added 3M stoneguard to the front, ceramic paint coating, and tinted the front glass.
  12. THat would look amazing if it was finished.
  13. That looks fantastic! Can imagine a little Bruce leaning against the back staircase. I'm trying to picture my wife's reaction if I tried to bring a build of that size into the house.
  14. This is looking great. So many little details added, so many more I'm sure you will be adding. Makes me want to tackle one of these for myself.
  15. That's killer. Awesome job on the paintwork!
  16. I've been sort of eyeballing that kit. I think I'd be disappointed though. The wheels looks too small. Not enough rim, too much sidewall. Still, you did a great job on the kit!
  17. Wow is that a clean build or what! I bet if you took some pics outside, it would be really hard to distinguish from the real deal!
  18. Been picking away at it here and there. I've started the chassis and trying to dial in the ride height, and I've started mocking up the interior. Will be installing the interior from a newer model. The stock interior tub had a molding in bench seat and no detail. Can't have a bench seat. Nope. Anyway, here's a few pics, gives you an idea of what I've got cooking.
  19. Awesome theme. Can honestly say I've never seen anyone tackle this subject before!
  20. I like that a lot!
  21. Yes, there was a site issue yesterday and it was unavailable for everyone. Should be back to normal now. Or what passes for normal.
  22. Bah, once it's painted and finished it'll look fine.
  23. Yeah, driving there and driving here are barely the same thing! My parents are from Southampton, and all of my relatives are still "back home." We used to go back and visit every other summer, and when I was 16 I got my first taste of driving. One trip to the pub and my parents were not in driving condition. So there's me, driving officially for less than a year, sat in the right hand seat of a Ford Escort at midnight. Interesting to say the least. Anyway, over the years, my cousins have had vehicles they've been modified, and they were very aware of the rules for what they could and could not do. How they could lower the car, the type of exhaust, how to mount additional lights. They saw what I was doing to my cars and were blown away by what we could get away with!
  24. So I ended up preselling the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited I had coming. Existing client was just too persistant, and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse! So here are my new wheels. 2018 Chev Tahoe LT Z71 Midnight, Black on black, full load inc rear dvd for the kiddies. Added the clear stoneguard on the front end, ceramic paint protection, and some tint on the front windows. Comes from factory with alittle extra clearance, revised front bumper for better approach angles, and Goodyear Duratrac tires. Should work out great for the summer vacation, which will involve some unserviced roads and lot of outdoors.
  25. Currently: AMT Kenworth W923 AMT Fruehauf flat deck trailer Tamiya Mercedes AMG 500SL Revell Chev square body Revell 1968 Dodge Charger RT Italeri Porsche 951 Dragon BMW M3 e36 AMT Rescue Van I'm trying really hard not to start anything new until these are done.
