  1. Agreed! I received a kit that looked like it had been sat on for the entire trip to get to me. But... I sent them pics of the crushed box, exactly how I received it. They refunded me in full, and I ordered another one. It arrived in a mailer bag, and in perfect condition. And the best part is when I opened the crushed kit, the contents were actually perfect. Zero damage at all. So yay for me. The Canadian Amazon site doesn't have a lot of deals on model kits. And I haven't seen any that qualify for Prime. However, I get a lot of supplies from there. Tape, sanding sponges/sticks, blades, etc. Some really good deals there.
  2. I don't have an issue with that. We have threads for eBay, Hobby Lobby, and I think Michaels. so why not Amazon too? I say go for it.
  3. It still exists?! That's awesome. One of my fav tv shows of all time. And it's beautiful. I'll have to remember to go looking for that next time we're through Nanaimo. We drive through there on vacation all the time.
  4. We have a squirrel now. It's pretty cute. Our pup disagrees.
  5. Weather is looking good for our Canada Day long weekend, and there's a big car show in my town. Typically brings in 300-400 vehicles. Cool! Oh, and ordered another kit yesterday morning. I love vendors that are on the ball. It's already shipped, should be here Tuesday. I love fast shipping, especially when it's over a long weekend.
  6. I used to play that a few years ago. Thought it was really good. Especially for a free game on the iPad. I always painted my cars Smurf Blue with grey wheels. Racing games are pretty much the only video games I've ever been good at.
  7. Turned out fantastic!
  8. They weren't friends at the start of the trip, but now they're quite chummy. I'll show myself out now...
  9. That's the one I'm using as a base. It's in paint now.
  10. I always thought the front end headlight design on this class of car was unattractive. But your build sure isn't. Excellent work!
  11. Correct on all counts, except for one. They won't find any bodies. Period. When the sub imploded, they were squashed. There will be nothing identifiable left to find.
  12. Now THAT is a billion dollar idea!
  13. No, I saw your point. Some millionaire goes rogue and cuts corners in his submarine company. Pays the price. Some other guy that tried to warn everyone about the cut corners gets fired and ignored. Doesn't change how I feel about the entire situation, which is what my comment was about.
  14. What's a shark's favourite fast food? Five Guys. Anyway, I think the amount of attention given to this story for exceeds the amount of attention it deserves. Tragic for sure, but I think the hundreds that died on the migrant ship last week is a more important story. But I guess they're not wealthy, so obviously not worth the attention.
  15. I actually got to see these products at a show over the weekend. The quality and detail is second to none. I would 100% not hesitate to purchase his products.
  16. Yeah, let's no go there. ?
  17. Well that's different. Although it kind of is Coke, because Sprite falls under the umbrella of The Coca Cola Company. Nah, if they were to do a water truck, it would be Dasani, as that's part of the Coke group.
  18. Looking good! That hood turned out great!
  19. That's awesome. Once I clear a few things from the bench, I think I'm going to get started on my Mark Webber car.
  20. Did he say that little 4-cylinder could pump out 1000hp? That's crazy. And pretty awesome.
  21. I just delivered this one last week to a client. 2023 Outer Banks Advanced. We then did a 2" lift and added tires from a Sasquatch package. In the 2dr alone, there are 13 different trim levels, so trying to order the right one for a client can be a challenge. This client wanted painted flares, the 35" tires, heated steering wheel, but not leather. Took some outside the box thinking, but we did it. The next one that comes in, I'm going to take some close up detail pics, so that when my kits arrive, I can get the painting correct. Thought about building a couple for clients that buy them. Kind of a "thanks for your business" gift. Except that the majority of our clients go for the 4dr. Anyway...
  22. First one I remember was a 1/32 Lindberg Buick snap kit. I was maybe 5 or 6, and I remember my parents brought it in when I had a hospital stay and needed something to do. Would have been early 1978. Pic of what I believe is the kit. Random pic from google search.
