  1. My kinda builds. Well done sir!
  2. Well... better luck next month I spose...
  3. Ron I am loving that Predicta gasser.
  4. Not my usual style but man those things are genius. Concept and execution are both top notch!
  5. Gawguss! I mean really just lovely. Great save and nice finish work.
  6. Did other kits come with those Apaches?
  7. A good chunk of the tool for that kit is in use for the 66 Mustang kit. Ertl subbed some so-so Shelby mags for the Rader WireMags tho. I'd like to see one of those Horse variants back too.
  8. The Monogram 56-57 Chevys are a hot mess.
  9. Headlights look nice other than the upside down lenses.
  10. Nice build! Yep, the original issue of that kit could be built stock. Then the was the Red Chariot rod only issue, and a stock only issue. The kit was updated in the 1970s for the Early Iron series with a new smallblock Chevy and the stock build parts gone permanently. The more recent 2000s issue has a bunch of modern day street rod parts in it, and they redid the dash. So if you want to do a stock kit bash, you'll have to dig back to the Early Iron issue. (Fortunately they are common and cheap.)
  11. Well there you go. I thought I had a 61 a while back, but foggy memory it most have been a 62.
  12. OMG right in the k-nudsens!
  13. I think the 61 annuals had engines too. It was the 1960 annuals that did not.
  14. Actually, the last year fro the T was 1927. But yes I agree with you about your other statements.
  15. I like it.
  16. Another gorgeous build Tulio.
  17. I used the front axle from the Blue Bandito kit. Other than being plated it is identical to the original Woody Wagon axle. On the next one I build I will swipe the knock offs from a Predicta kit. BTW Testors Flame Red lacquer and Tamiya Flat Tan are near perfect matches for the original plastic.
  18. Crash Club comes to mind. I'm good friends with his daughter Holly Felsen Welch. I've read almost all of his books.
  19. Who could forget this jewel? 12 front runners front & rear on on side, chrome reversed on the other.... But from that box came this... And actually got me my start building box art.models for AMT.
  20. This build is looking better all the time. Might have to do something similar. Love it!
  21. I'll second that. Really nice build.
  22. Looks great! What did you paint it with?
  23. You are correct, I did. I was replicating a 40 Standard hot rod that's in the collection of Jim Walker of Dayton Ohio. His collection was featured in American Rodder magazine back in 1992 and I fell in love with this one.
  24. BTW. Looking good! Can't wait to see it finished.
  25. No. As he posted it's a 1960 Comet. The Comet was originally supposed to be part of the Edsel line and not receive a Mercury nameplate until 1963.
