Hmmmmmmm.................a possible FE3-X version?! Nice!
-
My pics were fine, although I did have to make a new password since their app on my phone lost the record of my password..........as did I, ended up having to go in and do the whole "forgot my password" thing and coming up with a new one and changing it......but that was it.

Has anybody here have some sort of unintentional ability to pick up some of the accent of the person their talking too?
-
To be honest, wouldn't be surprised if something like that is happening, particularly if there are some that are armed in a way that would be useful in such situations.
-
Funny this comes up, I saw an interview with either Nicole Kidman or Kieth Urban on Ellen one day (it was on in the restaurant I was in) and Ellen asked about their girls and somehow they got to their accents, with both parents being Australians while living in Nashville, TN, their accent is rather.........interesting, then when those girls would combine their Aussie version of English they've inherited from Kidman and Urban with the Southern U.S. version of English they're around in Nashville and can give their Grandmothers back in Australia fits trying to figure out all of what they're saying

There was some "genius" councilman mentioned on the news the other night that thought that instead of the feral cats, the city should use the coyotes to take care of the rat problem................yeah, adding even more predatory creatures that prey on pets and may even go after smaller humans into an urban environment is a gggrrrreeeeeaaaat idea................................
-
They should contact Chicago, they're talking about using them to help with the rat problem!

I'm typically not a fan of the Magnum 500 wheels, but I do think those might look on cars like my Chrysler 200 and moreso, it's sibling, the Dodge Avenger. -
I don't live too far from Harry in suburban Chicago and I've seen a few Coyotes running around at night around here, also managed to hit a deer, racoon, bird, come close to squirrels, and even skunks, rabbits, and possums. Most of these critters aren't something that concern me, but the coyotes on the other had, they have been known to attack pets and one pack even attacked a house to try and get at somebody's dog a couple years back. One of the times I saw one, I let a local cop know and he said to just let it be instead of calling animal control.

When the "solution" is the problem!

I know this is an old thread, but I took my 200 in for it's first test before going to get it's plates renewed for the year. I was surprised to find that of the 4 test points in the facility, there were 3 whole cars when I pulled up to an empty testing station! I spent a little bit more time getting tested than I did entering the property, pulling into the stall, and shutting the car off. It was more of an ordeal getting to and from there......actually, finding a parking spot once I got to the Wheaton DMV office took more time than the emissions test and going in to get the plate sticker at this office! -
There's a good reason for that, if you popped the hood on the real ones, you barely saw the engine there too!

Odd thing about that character line, some of the older ones didn't have it, the '78 and '87 Beauville window vans we had both had the lines that ran from the front doors back, but I've seen some that started in the sidedoor(s)/side panel too though?!
-
I've had a few, and I thought they all had the sidemarkers in them....... You might search for my comparison of the A-Team vs Dirty Donny van kits on here, if you're curious.

Lol, in the Forza games, they started offering an '84 GMC Vandura as a download for 4 and Horizon (not sure if 5, 6,of H2 has them) and the according to the game specs, the van has a whopping 160hp from it's 5.7l SBC. A young friend of mine (should now be 22 or 23) said to me "How did they get so little power from a 350 Chevy?!" all I could say is "Welcome to the 1980's!" Also knew another young guy who managed to get his hands on a Chrysler Conquest (Mistubishi Starion 2.6l Turbo) and needed to replace the O2 sensor, and somehow found a parts house that still had a bunch of them on hand. He was telling me with a slight touch of confused amazement that is used only 1 wire for that sensor........I just laughed and told him "Welcome to mid 80's electronics!" and explained to him that one of my Turbo Mopars (both with real Chrysler engines) had the same single wire set up and the other had been upgraded to a 2 wire set up, kinda afraid to see how many wires there are on my 200's O2 sensors. -
Is it just me ...

This always irritates the heck out of me, and my Sister has run into it recently with the Challenger R/T Classic that she dailies. About a month back she was cleaning the snow off it so she could come home for lunch (she works only 1.5 miles from home) and had somebody in another Challenger strike of a conversation with her, ending in him questioning her as to if she could handle the car in the snow. Now she had spent time behind the wheels of my two 80's Turbo Mopars (one of which had a habit of producing sudden and violent levels of torque steer and was called "The Beast" by one of her guy friends.........I still miss that car), drove multiple 4.0l XJ Jeeps (all of which were capable of playing with far sportier cars in straight lines and paved corners), replaced her XJ with a '06 Charger with the 3.5l (Prowler) V-6 (which ran plenty strong for a heavy car with only a 6), then replaced that with this Challenger, so she had plenty of experience healthy cars in adverse conditions, including that Charger, in bad weather.....but since she is a woman and works for a library, this clown automatically assumed it belonged to a husband or boyfriend (who typically drives a 4 cyl 90's Camry) and asked her if it was "his" truck. We also knew a woman who had an '05 or '06 Charger R/T in a cinnamon red color, she was pulled over for speeding by the officer of a local department that has the reputation of being highly aggressive in anything traffic related..........well, he made the mistake of asking her if "her husband" knew she was driving his car and needless to say, she let him know she did not appreciate that question and that it was in fact HER car......it probably went downhill for that officer from there -
It's Jim's Pig, I saw them on my way to work one morning, still have the pics on my Photobucket account too! Wonder if it's still on our roads, I think I shot these pics in the late 00's...............................

Getting rid of that serpentine belt system should make the truck quieter..............although, I can't imagine anything not being better than TBI on those things, we had a Chevy van with that on the 350, I think it was one of the hotter 170-180hp versions............in a full sized van. Ever since they've became available on the used market, I've though an LS would make a great swap in place of that TBI motor, no matter what it was in. -
What did you see on the road today?

Looks like somebody wants to get out and chase come geese! -
Yeah, gotta love that it was snowing as late as 4pm in Batavia, I was joking with one of the guys at the Bartlett 7-11 about the weather not making up it's mine........rain, snow, sun shine, all within 5 hours!

I just bought the Chris Stapleton CD "Traveller" a few minutes ago, been hearing one of the tracks on the radio a bunch lately and started listening to him on YouTube.........then broke down and made that purchase on my day off today........ . .......... Had to get Pocky sticks while I was there too, love those stupid things! -
I was thinking the same thing until a few days ago Rich, but Chris Stapleton has been getting airplay here, sounds like he and his wife are finally getting their due, and they're anything but Justin and Selina with twang.

It's next to impossible to hear old country (well, ok........even anything that actually sounds like country) on the radio around here, but got a shock on the way home when one of the stations played "Mama Tried" tonight. Found out he passed almost as soon as I walked in the back door after getting home.
-
What ever it was I started coming down with on Sunday, another coworker had it hit him on Saturdqy, Mom came down with it on Tuesday, now both of my bosses have it as well as one of our teenage employees (and yes, I believe him). We only have one adult, who happens to be the only other keyholder besides the owners and myself who hasn't caught it yet!

Sometimes I think an old fire station would be cool too, got places to prep and eat food, relax, sleep, and you can work on your cars in the house like a model or an R/C car!
