I have been designing fire sprinkler systems for about 35 years, so I spend a lot of time on construction sites. In the past 5-8 years I have been pointing out/correcting problems for other trades and even for project superintendents working for the GC. They cannot read/understand the prints. It amazes me that folks cannot think in 3D, even when they are standing on the jobsite and looking at the space they need to install their equipment. I once had to attend about a dozen design meetings for a hospital project. They were designing a high end, very powerful MRI room and were continually doing 3D modeling to ensure everything would fit. From about the 2nd meeting on, I was explaining that there physically isn't enough (height) room on this floor to install what they were proposing. At the end, when they finally thought they had everything crammed into this tiny space and were patting themselves on the back, I asked them how they were going to open the door. They had pipes and equipment run so low, on both sides, that the door would need to be less than 6'-0" tall. Project got scraped after wasting well over $100,000 and they all looked at me like I was evil.

"It's the 6th annual, inaugural event" I do love these old cars!

As a teenager (didn't have my license yet), I wanted one of these. I remember reading an article about them that said it had very poor braking. No idea why that still sticks with me. I think I would still like one now.

I use an Optivisor with 2X glass and the optional LED lights. A bit expensive, but much easier to use than the cheap 2.5X glasses that I tried previously.

That is something you don't see everyday, they got the tires on concrete and chocked the wheel. I would like to have that truck and two of those barrels.

I may be one of the few people that actually like foggy/overcast mornings.

This was my favorite even though I rarely drove it. Was reliable, could drive it cross country if I wanted to, handled like a sports car should and it was VERY fast. Had it up to 160mph (I think it had a speed limiter set at 159, it quit pulling a split second before I got a worried scared and let off). Top down on nice days. Had it for 3 years and only put 4000 miles on it. 2008 Callaway Corvette

I have actually been doing my testing on the hood of a model. They are generally fairly easily to strip and clean if things don't go as planned. I tried testing colors on spoons and gave up after the first try because of the poor results. Hard to tell what a large flat panel will look like when using a small round sample area on the spoon. I now use the spoons to eat applesauce....with cinnamon!

Was this the guy that had a meltdown on the forum, over one of his posts, or was that some other blogger?

Just keep an eye out for them Mark. I got a glue bomb in a nice box for $10 about a year ago.

I was on crutches and did not have to shovel any snow. I remember a 6' deep snow bank that formed at our back door. The whole neighborhood was out helping each other clear their driveways and our entire street. They were smart enough to completely clear the street so that when the plows finally came, they did not block the driveways again. We never lost power.

I would like to remind the folks that have posted issues to please provide updates as to when/if they receive their orders. There is a difference in receiving your order late (no matter how late) and not receiving it at all. Everyone that reads this thread can then determine if they are still willing to order from this vendor.

I would love to run that car around the track. I don't think my nerves would hold up on those 150mph curves though. I had my old Callaway doing 120mph around a "slight" bend, so I have had my fill of fast corners, and 160mph in a straight line. Slow and steady for me now.

Locked down before it gets any more heated. As I have said many times....if you think something is in the wrong spot, report it. The report pops up when I log in and I can go right to the post/thread in question and look into it. Sometimes I will agree with the report, sometimes I will not. I moved it to the 1:1 Reference Photo section. You posted photos of a 1:1 restoration you are working on with detail photos, of the Boss engine, to be used as reference to anyone working on that kit. Which seems to really meet the definition of the reference photo section. I know everyone likes to have their threads in the General section, but they do not all belong here. I also do not get the chance to read every post, in every thread. If you think something is in the wrong place, please use the report function to bring it to my attention.
