  1. Go to your messages, select a message and then click "Messages" in upper right hand corner. You then select "Leave Conversation". Unfortunately, you have to do that with each individual message. This version of the software does not have an easy way to delete them. Hopefully that is one of the things that changes when we go for the next update.
  2. I think you should. That would be a fairly easy piece to cast. I think there would be a decent market for it. I'm sure i would get a couple.
  3. Another thread locked down. I hope everyone got the answers they were looking for before it happened.
  4. Lets not go through all of this again. Paul you were not mentioned by name, even though most modelers know your business practices. It is well known that a lot of folks do not like the fact that you take rarer kits and piece them out. There is nothing wrong disagreeing with you and there is nothing wrong with how you run your business. Nobody said anything bad in these posts. You do not have to come here and write pages of comments defending yourself every time you feel slighted. You obviously know you are not the most liked person in the hobby as you seem to search for yourself or keywords on the forums, almost like you are looking for confrontation. Your business practices are your own concern and I do wish that folks here would stop complaining about them. All they have to do is not buy from you and move on. If you think someone crosses the lines with their posts, use the report post function. It sends an email to the moderators then we can look into it and take appropriate action. You continually commenting on every single post only makes things worse for both sides.
  5. The Forum software has a pretty good Private Message system that can be used for the way off-topic stuff. Also, rather than just complain about posts with another post, you can just report it and let the moderators look into it.
  6. We here can all appreciate fine craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing.
  7. I have wanted to get a telescope for several years. I want to take better, more detailed, photos of the moon. My wife keeps reminding me that I would only use it once or twice and walks me back from the brink. This is the best I have been able to get with my current camera and arsenal of lenses. I also live near Washington, DC so light pollution is a problem.
  8. If the stamp hobby was the same as the modeling hobby, folks would be telling you to lick it, stick it and mail it off. As I have gotten older, I can appreciate the fine details that are on these tiny stamps.
  9. Go to your profile page. Click on the bottom left corner of the profile photo and it will take you where you need to go. There are file size and dimension limits you must follow.
  10. Nicely done Dann.
  11. Dang it, now I have to find one of those Airfix Chargers. I bought individual display cases for any model I feel deserves it. I currently have one model in a case.
  12. Just a reminder. I know it will be difficult for some, but please keep politics out of this when posting.
  13. I have a simple 4'x8' layout that has the bed and track down. It has been that way for several years. I look at the wiring diagram and it all looks like ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. One of these days I will get back under there and give it a go. I pickup building kits and rolling stock from time to time. Sure would be nice to start using it.
  14. I just looked it up and it is at an airfield about 1½ hours away from me. It will be there until Monday. Now to convince my wife.
  15. Sometimes it takes a few days for him to get back in touch with you.
  16. I have only seen one Challenger like that, I think it was a 3-speed manual. My new garage will be built in about a month. I will then start looking for a '71 'Cuda to put in it. It will have fender gills, rear wing, big engine, and a drop top. I want a driver more than a show car, so I may get lucky enough to get one at a reasonable price (probably not).
  17. Maybe he did something with it already, my pages are loading quicker than they have in months.
  18. It is scheduled for tonight.
  19. Is this the email you used? It was listed in another thread. He may not visit this board often, and if he has notifications turned off, he would not know that he has messages here. He may also have multiple emails. One used for signing up here and perhaps a "work" email. tihggh01@hotmail.com
  20. To keep things clear, you guys are now talking about 3 completely different cars. '65 AFX Dodge '70 T/A 'Cuda Top Fuel from unknown year. They are all going to have different requirements. Rule books, for the year and type of racing, are one of the best sources of information available (and an actual good use for the internet).
  21. They are recessed, but I think the trim rings project out ever so slightly. I think the green fender is more accurate. It has been a long time since I have had my hands on one though. A better may to explain it is, I think the vents and trim rings are smaller than the recess/hole so you can see the recess around the trim ring.
  22. We have had some extended power outages and the land line still worked. We are going to keep it as long as they offer it. I am in a somewhat rural area and cell coverage is weak and spotty.
  23. You would think that the model companies would make really nice versions of small blocks, big blocks and Hemis. They could include one engine in a kit and sell the others as engine packs. I guess they have done "research" and determined they would not sell as many complete car kits. I think a lot of folks would pay as much as $10 for a nice small block with optional intakes. Could do this for all the major car brands. Seems like the tire packs that are offered sell pretty well.
  24. If he refunded your money, I wouldn't call him a fraud. He might just be someone who didn't know what he was selling. I have run into a few of those in the past.
