  1. I have done some work at the base in Mechanicsburg, so I know it is not out of my travel range. I will try to make it if I can.
  2. I am going to give it a week before I get my hopes up, don't want another project pulled out from under me Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
  3. Thanks for the advice. I do have a can of Montana Kent Blood Red that may be close. All the other reds that I have are way to bright. Will try the nose oil trick.
  4. Anyone have color/manufacturer suggestions for paint to match this photo. I also could use some tips on replicating the leather look. It is for a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 I will be starting soon. Thanks.

I think these rears fit the wheel well better. The fronts from the other photo seem to fit better though. Hard to tell from the photos.
  6. Yep, smooth transaction!
  7. For some folks it does matter. You may be able to get another $10 if it has that little piece of paper.

    1968 Dodge Dart

Yeah, I wish I had the "440 Four Barrel" one.

    1968 Dodge Dart

Thanks for the comments. The color is fairly accurate to the original color. My personal tastes lean to more subtle colors and I should have chosen a different hue (more turquoise). It was a fun build though and I have already started another one that will done in green. Hopefully the decals are in better shape for this one.
  10. I store my photos on my computer, external hard drive and now Fotki. If I lose them in one place, I still have backups. The external hard drive is not kept in the house either. So if there is a fire, or something horrendous, I still have my photos. Figure that I could recover them from one of the 3 places in an emergency. My model photos are less than 5% of the photos I have.
  11. They have grandfathered the existing paid accounts (at least for the time being). The free accounts were the ones that really got hit. I am guessing that is where they are going to make their stand. You get what you pay for. I am sure that someone will try it though. The lawyers get rich and the Photobucket account holders will get a check for $1.80 at some point.
  12. This is the Revell Mr. Norm's '68 Dodge Dart. This shade of blue (Tamiya Metallic Blue) was not exactly what I was looking for but, figured I would see it through to the end. The small emblem decals fell apart as soon as I tried to install them, so I didn't even try to use the stripes. This is also the first model that I did not give up on when it came time to foil the wheel lip molding. The body was a little flexed and did not fit the chassis very well, so ride height isn't where I would like it (too low in the rear). Overall, I think this is a nicely detailed kit. Thanks for looking.
  13. Sounds like it was an awesome day all around!
  14. Just a reminder, you cannot post links to items you are selling.
  15. Nicely done Dann!
  16. Not sure what would be causing that, but my first bit of advice is to close your browser and restart it. Sometimes that clears whatever little glitch is causing a problem.
  17. Got an email stating they were experiencing technical difficulties throughout the day.
  18. I had put early bids in on a few as I was going to be at work when it was going on today. Got home and checked and of course lost them all but....... One of the auctions said I lost even though my bid was considerably higher than the supposed winning bid. What gives. I have emailed them to ask for an explanation.
  19. Everyone has their own preference or likes to do things a certain way or just doesn't want to learn how to use a new program. All the sites pretty much do the same thing when it comes down to it, they let you share photos on forums like this.
  20. This is where all members can pitch in. While surfing around the site if you see something you feel is in the wrong place, you can click "report post" and it will send an email directly to the moderators. We can then check on the report and take the appropriate action. There are several members that already do that and it is a tremendous help. Since this forum has a good amount of daily traffic, it is hard for us to read every post. Just this week I have learned that I need to watch the "Trading Post" a bit more closely, as some folks were posting items there that should have been in the "Wanted" section.
  21. Gregg, Dave Ambrose and myself are the mods.
  22. Nicely done. Little known loophole - this is how to enter full detail models in the curbside division
  23. Yes, of course you can.
  24. Thanks guys. Trust me, it only looks organized because I am nearly done with that blue Dart.
