    Awesome lineup Randy.
  2. Welcome Thomas. Love the screen name, can picture my favorite WWII plane now.
  3. I have not had this issue....yet. I can usually back out if I won't, but most of the time I just hit Home at the top of the page and go back to the Index.
  4. You can reply to pinned threads. You cannot reply to locked threads.
  5. We have tried to address it. The first attempt at updating the software didn't work so we had to restore the old setup. Dave has been working with the software company to workout the bugs. He hopes to try the update again this weekend. FYI - It is not always on our end, so we may not fix all the problems. As I have mentioned before, the signal passes thru a lot of equipment between the host server and our individual computers. Problems can be caused by any number of things along the way, that we have no control over.
  6. Just leave them out in the dust. Eventually you will be able to do a barn find diorama. If I ever build any that I am truly proud of, I will put them in a case.
  7. The report function works for just about everything. It does not automatically assign warning points or anything like that. All it does is make it easy for us to find the thread/post and it immediately sends emails to Gregg, Dave and myself. It is a very useful tool. There will always be threads/posts in the wrong area, guidelines will help with maybe 20% of the current trouble areas. There is a lot of "I will just post here, if it's in the wrong spot someone will move it" I am used to it.
  8. Nothing needs to change, although we will eventually get some of the areas cleaned up a bit. The pinned threads are scattered throughout the forum in hopes that more folks see/read them, doesn't work with some as they go straight to the new posts and bypass the pinned threads. Sometimes (not always) I may leave a thread in the wrong place in hopes that more folks may see it before it gets moved. Sometimes I forget to go back and move it. I have seen several members purposely post in the wrong section in hopes that more folks see it, or perhaps to keep me on my toes. We are hoping to try the software update again this weekend (fingers crossed). I doubt we will make any cosmetic changes until after that is done and we can confirm everything is working correctly.
  9. We can move things whenever we deem it necessary. We also miss things. That is why we ask folks to flag things when they see them.
  10. It's just another word/phrase that will show up in searches. The more searches your listing ends up in, the better your chance of selling it.
  11. Nice. Now we need to see the post atomic detonation version.
  12. If you feel a topic is in the wrong place, use the Report Post function. It flags the post and sends emails out to the Moderators. We can then check into it.
  13. Not sure what caused this, but I have been getting some strange results when posting as well. I have gone so far as to restart my computer and start over. So far I have been able to get my posts corrected.
  14. I would leave it. Sometimes these are long term builds and could take a while for folks to post updates.
  15. I knew this one. I thought it was a trick question because it was too easy.
  16. Pulled this one off the shelf and have been working on it the last few days. Lots of fiddly parts to drive a man crazy.
  17. Nicely done. I had to convince myself it was a model.
  18. You do not need to subscribe to the magazine to join the forum. Go to the main forum index and scroll down a bit, there are forum statistics listed on the right side. You can also scroll down further to see who is actually logged into the site. A lot of folks visit the forum daily.
  19. I had the same problem, the one and only time I rode my old bike to work. I was actually forced onto the shoulder 3 different times the say day. They had to of heard me, the bike was LOUD! I am glad it is gone now. This area (Washington, DC) has far to much congestion to enjoy a nice ride.
  20. Just a reminder - Keep politics out of the discussion. We are a model forum.
  21. Thanks. I enjoyed building this one. Nothing. It is typical 70's, has big pleated benches over the wheel wells. That is what they reminded me of when I opened the box. It looked good. I used the dullcote because I wanted to see how much it changed the paint. Pretty dramatic difference (wish I had taken a before photo).
  22. For those of you that do not venture down to "The Community" section of the forum, this is the completed model from the Slump Buster CBP thread. I can highly recommend this one to help you get out of your model building slump. It is a nice and easy build. This version is from the 1978 kit, but I believe it has been reissued since then. Tamiya Light Blue over White primer and covered with Testors Dullcote.
  23. Do like I apparently do....start them all. Then decide which one to finish first. Start with one that interests you. That will probably keep you wanting to finish it.
  24. I actually got mine done and actually enjoyed building this one, go figure. I will put more photos in Under Glass shortly.
