  1. Hey folks! I randomly got this thing out over the weekend and built a Chevy small block for it. And I desided it needed some matching panels on the hood too... I'm updating this thread so maybe it will inspire me to finish it. ?
  2. I'm messin around with some of that junk from my cousin's collection today. The 55 spent 1 hr in the tank full of Super clean and it washed all the paint off! Hands down the best stripper I've ever used! I totally recommend it for stripping paint off without damaging the plastic. Also... I've been working on the 36... built a Hemi for it...
  3. Oh... I need a hood for a 49 ford convertable I'm working on... I've been gathering parts for this junkyard project. this will be perfect for it...
  4. "Alright, Alright, Aright" Wooderson would be driving that one today! lol...
  5. Snake must've missed ya in the update somehow... I'm intrested in seein this get finished...
  6. Got a ways to go but the IPMS is coming up... end of the month and I'm challenging myself to have it ready for the Show! I've dropped everything to get it done... We'll see... here is my progress so far...
  7. Great Start! You will enjoy building this kit. If you have followed any of the Revell Camaro builds here you'll be aware (as a first time builder) that the tight fit will work to your advantage. I'm a fan as this is my favorite kit.
  8. Would you allow a Phantom mach1 build, a "what if?" of sorts build?
  9. Looks Awesome! My stepdad had those wheels on his. His was green, was a wood hauler. MY OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED ENTRY. This 36 Ford 5 window should qualify... It was a project my cousin started 20 years ago. Until two Saturdays ago it was in an attic for the past 16 years. My cousin had frenched the headlights in, cut the front off it, and cut the door frames off the top. He had a habit of opening doors on every thing. I have no doubt that's why he cut the door frames off the seperate top. I liked how he relocated the headlights but don't know why he cut the front fenders away from the running boards... Oh well She's my baby now. First name Bob... last name... Weoddababitzagurl.... lol! That's the only clue I'm giving as far as what direction I'm going, not giving away any spoilers.?
  10. Oh that's Sweet... I'm definitely using this color on my blown Hemi powered chopped 5 window! Thanks!
  11. Thanks, The color on your closed cab looks Coral Reef (Isuzu color). from 1990 ish. I'm really glad you posted this here because seeing this is a nice change of pace for me. (even better that it was built in that era). It's risky nowadays to paint something in the pink family. I'm more willing to paint it now. I know it's just a model but color can make or break a build. I loved seeing the new Amigos on the lot back in 92 with that color. It was a color that phased out quickly and was forgotten. I couldn't even find an original photo of a new one. The Chopped ford will be in Snake's Dead Challange... It's a 20 year stalled project and until two Saturdays ago it was in my cousins attic for over 16 years. Check it out soon. It should progress fast.
  12. Perfect Color from the late 80's early 90's... I was just about to post in the ask a question section about this color I seen at the hobby shop the other day, kinda cotton candy to me... Has any one ever used it? I'm thinking about getting it for a chopped Ford I'm working on with wide whites and chrome steelies... 60's style...
  13. Wow! that Revell Chevelle is Beautiful! Black is an Excellent choice!
  14. Thanks for all the positivity fellas! I appreciate it! yeah this thing was a total gut job, but seeing it down to the plastic agian really inspired me to bring it back to life. Here it is incase anyone missed it...
  15. Thanks, I'm glad it brings back memories. I wanted to do these to remind myself of how it felt to be standing in the model car section at Kmart when I was 10.. I built it a few times myself but never as the box and I never used the decals. One was Sapphire blue I know... and I painted one Compitetion Orange with Black Monogram 70 Chevelle SS stripes from the red issue. I remember brush painting that one gloss black later on though... Good times! lol! and I recorded many songs onto Memorex tapes from my boom box and the Casey Kasem Countdown as a kid... I got shot when I was 7 with a 38 caliber pistol in the chest out in my front yard in my neighborhood... and I survived. So afterwards I was kind of a shut in (who could blame me?) Modeling was a good outlet for me to pass time. I know I would've found modeling eventually but that event definitely sped up the prosess for me.
  16. Hey buddy? Could you do me a favor and look on the instructions for the Z Steet Camaro and tell me what color they have listed for the interior? It looks brown/dark tan? on the box... Thanks.
  17. Vintage Cover Artwork ?
  18. All this scanning talk got me thinking so I looked on my desktop and I had scanned the High Roller decals back in 2014 still had them saved... Also I found an image of the Cream Z28 decals but instead of them being Pink, Orange, and Black they are Red, Maroon, and Black... Can anyone confirm that some (Newer Maybe?) issues had a different option?
  19. That is a nice touch and they look great I think I'll be able to use these. Thanks for the email buddy!
  20. Ok Thanks I'll post in the wanted section, it has worked out for me before, we have some loyal members here. If I can't find a set I'll just go with this font. It's close enough.
  21. I'd greatly appreciate that if you could... Thanks.
  22. I don't actually have those decals. I'm gonna have to search images and find something close and print them myself.
  23. Yeah? I like that idea... I just imagined that body already painted and polished and ready for the details. That's why I kinda suggested the 6cyl standard option. Never was a fan of the black Yenko stripes anyway, white seems like the better option.
