  1. Looks great! I like the green with black fender flares.
  2. Perhaps I should be patient and wait for a reissue- I have plenty of kits to build in the meantime.
  3. Beautiful Alfa, Matt! Thanks for the photos.
  4. Me too! I need to do more building/finishing and less buying.
  5. Thanks for the info, Bill! I saw a photo of a full-scale Giulia, and now I have to have one in 1/24! Every time I shorten my ebay search list, I find something new to add to it.
  6. Is this kit difficult to find? Is it a good kit? Any ideas on what an unbuilt example goes for?
  7. By peripherally engaged, I mean those who react to sound bites and headlines without applying any common sense, fact or reason to their actions. For example, our food is going to kill us. A giant asteroid is going to kill us. Driving the wrong car is going to kill us. ( I'm deliberately avoiding political examples, but you know them). People drive themselves crazy trying to avoid or strike back at the threat of the day. My question was meant to be mild sarcasm, which I failed to convey. I marvel at the overall lack of threats we face. That lack is in stark contrast to the ongoing hysteria that seems way too common and out of proportion.
  8. Can you blame the peripherally-engaged for being short-sighted? How often are we told that something or someone is going to kill us (or at least take all that we have) at any given moment? (legitimate threats notwithstanding)
  9. From Hobbylinc.com SPECS: 1" diameter 1/2" wide Pegasus Product Number: 1198
  10. Great looking T/A Steve! Nice job fitting the nose and rear bumper.
  11. Great paint on a cool and unusual subject, Jim! Studebakers make some of the best hot rods.
  12. Looks like 0.028 monofilament line and a number 69 (0.0292) drill or reamer will be in the ballpark.
  13. Thank you Gentlemen. In the interim, I won a sealed Testors kit for $38.00 shipped. Perhaps I need more than one 911 in the stash?
  14. Thanks again. I recently saw a Testors kit (open box) with an asking price of $100.00. Had no idea if that was reasonable or not.
  15. Thanks JC! Any idea on the monetary value versus the Fujimi labeled kit?
  16. Bill, is this kit the Testors re-box of the above Fujimi EM? Looking for a full-detail 911 kit without the 5 mph bumpers for the stash.
  17. That's a stunner! Very well done!
  18. From Wikipedia, regarding Sodium Hydroxide (Found in purple cleaners) Strong bases attack aluminium. Sodium hydroxide reacts with aluminium and water to release hydrogen gas. The aluminium takes the oxygen atom from sodium hydroxide, which in turn takes the oxygen atom from the water, and releases the two hydrogen atoms, The reaction thus produces hydrogen gas and sodium aluminate. In this reaction, sodium hydroxide acts as an agent to make the solution alkaline, which aluminium can dissolve in. This reaction can be useful in etching, removing anodizing, or converting a polished surface to a satin-like finish, but without further passivation such as anodizing or alodining the surface may become degraded, either under normal use or in severe atmospheric conditions.
  19. Neat Golf! I really like it.
  20. I think your F-40 looks fantastic,Dann!
  21. He brought class, gravitas, and campy humor to whatever he contributed to. Animation sure won't be the same without his voice-overs.
  22. Looks very good http://resinmodelcasting.proboards.com/thread/43/dodge-crewcab-master Mr. Rowley's work
  23. Those dual coils are a nice addition, Bill. I'm a big fan of symmetry also. Nice job on the revival.
  24. One more beautiful Olds from you, Randy! I really like the color. I might have found a stand-in for Bamboo for my '72 Toronado.
  25. Here's a BnL resin small block Chevy intake (on an AMT 340 Mopar)
