  1. Ярмарка Динкум! Трудно найти хорошую информацию о них в колесной конфигурации!
  2. I have questions about the actual drilling part of headlight modification. How is the hole kept centered? What is the best way to not ruin parts? I'm thinking of using an end-cutting reamer to create a lip for the lens to sit in. Following that, perhaps a ball-nose end mill to create a round bottom bucket. Am I over-complicating this as I tend to do?
  3. I think you made a good choice there. I will have to get one for myself. My Mitutoyo dial caliper literally came out of the trash, and it is time for an upgrade.
  4. The interior of your Impala is exceptional! Well done on everything else also.
  5. Must be a popular thing in Pennsylvania. One of these won "Best in Show" recently at a local car show.
  6. There's a very nice 8 3/4 axle in the AMT '71 Charger, should you choose that avenue, JC. Photo by Casey Littman. The only negative is the AMT axle has the spring windup bumper above the pinion. That bumper appears to be absent on your posted photo. My educated guess is the following. Road racers would prefer an axle with a removable center section, for the ease of axle ratio changes. Several pre-set sections could be kept on hand to easily tailor the axle ratio to suit a particular track. The 8 3/4 (and the 9 inch Ford) would suit that method. Just my humble opinion, JC. I enjoy following along here and on the racing forum .
  7. That's beautiful! Out-of-this-world paint work and excellent details!
  8. I found some great photos and videos of an old Mercedes beast. http://fabwheelsdigest.blogspot.com/2013/04/1971-mercedes-benz-amg-300sel-63-race.html
  9. The interior of your Ramcharger is looking sharp, Michael. What did you use for the 'carpeting'? I like the color and texture of it.
  10. I found the front suspension on the 330 to be very fragile, the thin steering linkage broke easily. The rear axle appears to be a weak approximation of a Dana, but it should be an 8 3/4 axle. That's about as far as I got with the kit, Wayne.
  11. I really enjoyed our first meeting! I got to meet some great people and see some fantastic models. Thanks to Bill and Tom for putting the club together. Looking forward to next time!
  12. Ancient thread here, but identical topic- Anyone have more feedback on the Crazy Modeler PE set mentioned in the original post? I'd appreciate any info anyone can add. I imagine this topic belongs in the Aftermarket section, moderators.
  13. Excellent review Snake! Some Snake-Fu will really bring that Nova to life.
  14. I'm glad you got a response. I've always received good service from B-N-L.
  15. That is one sweet truck,Jim! Makes me thirsty for a grape soda
  16. There's some nice detail there for a snapper. It should really pop with the white/red combo.
  17. You didn't quit, thus you have a fine model for your efforts. I need to follow that example myself
  18. This looks very good! I'd never have guessed you had any struggles whatsoever
  19. Looks like the U.S. FDA isn't too keen on chloroxylenol, the antiseptic ingredient in Dettol. It hasn't been banned outright, but products containing chloroxylenol are hard to find in the States. Dettol contains isopropanol, causing me to question whether it's compatible with resin, as posted by TarheelRick above. Seems Amazon is the answer for anyone wanting to try Dettol as a paint stripper.
  20. Al, the B-N-L website functions and they have over 200 current ebay auctions ongoing. I'd say give them another try by email or the website contact form.
  21. Fantastic Buick Randy! It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.
  22. PESKY Chevrolet! That's priceless
  23. How's this one Marty?
  24. Soundgarden covering The Rolling Stones...
