This is a awesome build I am watching this one I love the old JoHan kits in the past 20 years i have put a good stash together of those kits I would love to see this one in a resin kit. Nice so far very nice.

Wow very nice build i still love the old VW bugs I am 70 i had a couple of them back in the late 60's and 70's back then you could pick one up for $300 to $400 bucks and they were so easy to work on and even main Hot Rod Mags had ads for custom parts for the body and engine you brought an old favorite back to life. Thanks for showing the Iceman motor I checked out his site and ordered some motors and some parts.

Nice build that year looks good in all black and the dog dish caps with the red lines are a perfect touch.

Cool thanks they really look like there from that time i have done a few 32 or 34 hot rods and the make the dash fix the build and as far as i know they have put them in every 57 chevy kit but one it was the one with blue 57 on the box when someone at AMT took every thing out of the kit and it was bear bones stock they said having to many parts would confuse the kid building it what can i say. You have a great list of colors good luck to me that is the hardest thing is getting that perfect color to see your idea come to life.

Nice it's going to have a nice shape to the body i see your using the gages from the AMT 57 chevy kit i wish someone would make them in resin i had a few of them they are perfect for 30's and 40's Hot Rot set ups.!!! Have you thought about a color yet.

Awesome build i love the color combo I am doing the same thing i got both kits to build a stock 65 100 i took the front bench seat out of the AMT 63 Nove wagon it had the same pattern and i wanted a bench seat still working on it not sure of the color yet .

Nice build i was hoping someone would get one on here the two i ordered just came in the morning mail I have no idea what color i am going to do it in yet.

Awesome looks great.!! I'm 70 and back in the late 60's and 70's my buddy and I would pick the VW bug's up for $250 to $375 and rebuild them it was a fun car easy to work on and parts were the same for 20 years lol.

Hi I did what your doing now about 5 years ago i wanted a 66 and got my hands a Hasegawa kit and open the hood at the time i had got all the AMT/MPC parts from Modelhause the dash because in 66 they went to square gages the hood so it had the unhood markings and the chrome and taillights what i found out is the Hasegawa is somewhere in between 1/25 and 1/24 I used the amt tub and seats and the chasses and the hood all fit like a glove the taillight's were a bit big the rear bumper fit nice the grill fit good but the front bumper was a bit wide its a mix and match can't wait to see yours done.

This build is awesome i love old morpar's and in-line 6's very nice so far.!!!

I have to tell you just about the only thing i would do is a new set of wheels that would go with the wide whites and add a bit of detail to the interior.

Wow I have to tell you that's awesome GM should have come out with that as the Monte Carlo SS I love it the color the wheels the body changes that would have sold big time for them very nice.

Ya that green does look good I am doing a 60's VW tricked out and like that color for that to.. Flowing your build i have one of these that i have been stuck on for over a year can't wait to see yours done.!

Awesome build so far on the slant-6 that was a great engine I had a 74 Dart with the high output slant-6 if your looking for the 71 grill set up Hartsparts has them i have got a lot of resin from him great guy to deal with looking forward to seeing this one done.

Hi i just got one of these kits yes it has a engine and chassis it's a simple chassis and the one i got was all molded in black plastic and you can build it stock it's what you got in the 60's i like it a simple build but fun i have both this one and the Revell i like both.
