WOW ! you did a awesome job on this one the 65 was one that i wish the model companys had done or someone in the resin area in a stock build very nice.
-
Great work so far i will be watching this one no model company has ever made a 64 or 65 Skylark and that's to bad I have all ways liked both and wish they did put them in there yearly line up.
-
To bad the guys at Revell did not do what AMT did with the first run of the 55 Chevy Wagon in the parts they gave you a roof section and rear tub to make it a El Camino .!!
-
Thats awesome nice fit looks great i will be following this one.
-
I have been setting up to do one of these and on the line between getting the resin body now seeing you with this in all plastic i am going this way it will be more work but i like working with all plastic and regular plastic cement don't get me wrong i have a ton of resin kits but sometimes it's just better to go all plastic. i will be watching this very close keep the pictures coming it's looking real good.!!
-
Awesome builds all of them very high quality work and great colors but i have to say the one that really stands out is your 67 Vette no one ever shows them in white with the black very nice.!!

When I Was Young & Dumb: Building the Unbuildable '56 Chevy!
rickcaps55 replied to John Goschke's topic in Model Cars
LOL Ho man do I know just what your saying I am 68 and started building model cars in 1962 in fact the AMT 62 Ford Fairlane was my first build and i have been building all these years but when Revell came out with the first one witch was the 55 Chevy i thought this is great opening door's and trunk well like you i glued everything but the hood closed then next year it was the 56 Chevy same thing and then the 57 Chevy came out again same thing and by that time i was done with anything that came from Revell and did not buy from them for years all i built was AMT MPC Johan that was it I did go back to Revell in the late 80's and now i love there kits but about 15 years ago at a yard sale i found all 3 kits the 55,56,and 57 for $5.00 each i took them I have not built them and never will I just take them out now and then and look at them and shake my head and put them back on the shelf just to remind me even after all theses years I still think I could not put them together.!!!!! -
Hi i am watching your build very close i started the same project 3 years ago and have been stalled i got the same 87 T-Bird kit The Mustang kit i got was the AMT 94 but i do have a couple of the Revelle Mustangs kits i can use were i have been stuck is the front and back axels i think i have the rear one worked out but the front is going to sit to high. i used the 87 T-Bird for all the under the hood parts so far nothing is glued yet.

Any trouble with the AMT '66 Nova??
rickcaps55 replied to Southern Fried's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I have done 4 of them and yes i have had the same problem with all four what i did was as everyone has said take a little of the back and test fit as you go along I also opened up the core support behind the headlights to there are many cars that have the support opened up.
