The Camaro roof looks great you did a great job on the body work. I have a 53 convertible that i was looking at doing a hardtop custom looking at the 1:1 picture that could also be a 65/66 Impala roof or a 65/66 Buick Wildcat roof i have these body's but i really like the way your Camaro roof loos.

rickcaps55 replied to RDean58's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Ho I remember i was 10 in 1962 my dad taking me to the corner drug store with my birthday money this is the kit that started a life long love for model cars for me it was $1.49 but they sold them for 99.c glue was 15c a tube spray paint was 59c the little jays of paint were 10c each 10 years ago i found a perfect kit parts still on the tree and the chrome almost perfect i payed $160.00 for it it was my first kit i had to do it but to this day i just can't bring my self to building it i have redone a glue boom back when Modelhaus was still around but i just can't build this one I'm getting close hell i will be 70 next June.!!! -

Nice color you picked the paint came out awesome very nice job if I may your wheel centers are the wrong color for that year the 65/66 sport wheels had red centers the 67/68 sport wheels had blue centers I'm 70 i had 66 GT coup and now i have a 67 GT convertible . Awesome build can't wait to see it done.

Nice awesome build great colors and i think the baby moons look good with the white letter tires on that car.

First let me say i have a lot of his resin kits he has some good bodys and i bought this one because i did not want to mess with the front fenders in the kit again they are a pain in the butt to line up and when i got this body i thought ho boy i can get right to my build BUT !! no the kit hood does not fit it's good at the back by the cowel but up front by the grill it's to wide so it's not really lined up right I don't want to sand down the hood so i think i will cut the radiator support and add some plastic to spread out the front fenders.
-
Hay thats the way I do it perfect fit.!!!
-
Wow that turned out awesome great build.!!
-

rickcaps55 replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
One of the things that lead me to pre order one of these kits is for the I-6 that was the stock motor that was part of the car. -
I love this kit in fact i love any car kit that came from JoHan they may not have had the detail most guys like today but they had better then most others did pluse cars that no one else had back in the 60's for the last 20 years i have been picking up these kits were ever i have found them or a good deal on them i about 80 unbuild kits now and i have 3 of these in the blue i picked the 3 at one time 14 years ago at a street sale in Chicago it was a guy that had a old mom and pap store that went under he had a small toy area i got all 3 unbuilt and in perfect shape for $15.00 $5 each I have started to build one and it will be as a base stock unit with just small mods i also have the 66 sales book and the base model had the in line six as standard equipment and dog dish caps i got the 6 from Motor City Resin and the Caps from Missinglink resin.
