  1. I have the Leo Models 230 SL and it is very nice. Includes engine and spare tire in the trunk. On mine I blackened the white walls and painted the outer rims silver.
  2. These are the specifications by race from Peter Hinsdale's The Fabulous Porsche 917 and the profile drawings of Johnathan Thompson.
  3. I have the kit in my stash so you have my interest and am looking forward to what you get as responses.
  4. Saturday I stopped in at Walmart and spotted the Motormax 2019 C7 Corvette. Then on the way home I got to thinking don't I already have this Corvette. I checked and what I had at home was a Welly 2017 C7 Corvette. The Motormax is a ZL1 and the Welly is a Z06 and they are different especially the front ends and the rear wings. The Welly also has an engine. Size wise they are pretty much the same and are in the $10 dollar range if you can find them in stores.
  5. This morning Wendy the Westie got me up early, 0345 to go outside in the dark with a suddenly dead flashlight, and then she wanted to be feed immediately. Fortunately I was able to get some sleep in my recliner with her at my side. Every Tuesday morning I remove and wash Wendy's cushion from her bed. I put the cushion in the washer, added detergent and set the very large almost full detergent plastic jug on the counter of the sink next to the washer. About 20 minutes later we heard a large crash and came running. When you are in your 70's the first thing you think of is your partner has "fallen and can't get up." The vibration of the washer had bounced the jug off the counter and onto the floor depositing mucho laundry detergent across the laundry room floor because you know who had not put the lid on tightly!! I got the shop vac from the basement and got most of the liquid up but then had to wash and dry the floor with towels. Always wondered why I keep all those old towels, now I know why and the laundry room may be the cleanest it has ever been. Back to my original plan A for the day with a trip to the 7-11 and bank. Both went smoothly but as I was leaving the bank I remembered Scott telling me about the Aleenes 3 pack of tacky glue he got at Michaels so off across the parking lot to Michaels. Now I have never been bashful about asking for direction but of course not a clerk in sight so the question was where to start? Since the scrapbooking department was right near the front door it seem logical to start there. Tacky glue, scrapbooks, makes sense. No luck there so on to crafts, models, toys, etc. Still no luck. Off to fabrics, decorations, still no clerks in sight, so back through scrapbooking, that still seemed logical, and on to the next to last row on the north side of the building and bingo, a whole rack of Aleenes glues. Quite frankly I had never heard of them before but I found the 3 pack of varying drying speeds. They sound like they will be very useful and come in handy. What a day and its not ever yet.
  6. The photos are very engaging, congratulations.
  7. impressive work on the wall, door, and kiosk. Did you make the bricks and pavers?
  8. Good work on the wall and the garage doors. Very realistic.
  9. Well done.
  10. I have the same Maisto in dark blue. Always wondered why the T-Tops were not included. Nice upgrade on yours.
  11. The truck looks really great and what a super combination..
  12. Way to good Pico. Keep up the tutorial.
  13. Really good looking WCPD models. Thanks for sharing as we don't see these very often.
  14. Thanks JC for the source info, good to know.
  15. Ralph, if HRM can't get you one of the LM hard tops I could pull one from a mold I made but you would have to detail it yourself. The short top can be made from a Revell Jaquar XKE top. The small window top I don't recognize I am afraid.
  16. Hard to believe that Mercedes is a replica because is sure looks good.
  17. Thank you Bob for posting your Streaker Vette photos. One of my favorite oldies.
  18. Both of the Chevelle rescues look pretty darn good! Well done guys.
  19. Looks like a very good match indeed. Looking forward to seeing more and you have me thinking about adding a Chevelle to the want list. Oops, just checked and I do have a '71 Chevelle convertible so I am good to go on the Chevelle front.
  20. Your research really paid off and the model looks great. Thanks for sharing the build link too.
  21. Well done and including the top is a nice touch.
  22. Back to the thread title. It was 1962, I was 16, and helped a friend of my sister put together this Model A with a 1956 Chevy engine. Only got to drive it once before we moved away.
  23. The tires are a big improvement over the old kit tires. Well done.
  24. Looking good to me. I have a thing for these '50s trucks.
  25. The postman was good to me this week. Porsche 419 Diesel Master Tractor (not the Revell Junior kit, this is the big brother) by Kovap in tin. Won it for $4.25.? Jaguar SS100 by Franklin Mint. Ferrari 308 GTB by Le Grandi Collection.
