  1. Excellent craftsmanship on the build and you are to be congratulated on working through the challenges. Gary
  2. Very very nice. One of my favorite Dinos.
  3. I am impressed with what you have done with the engine and its basic shape in 3D. Oh, and thank you for the pictures. Gary
  4. David, The paintings on the wall add class to the setting as you would expect in a Rolls dealership, clever idea. I am anxious to see how your 3D printed engines come out, pictures please. Gary
  5. Ben, The outer rims were shinny because they were machined I am thinking but the centers are as cast and would be darker as you suggest. I use an app called Paint to reduce the size of my photos.
  6. Super nice and what a save!
  7. Congratulations on your project.
  8. David, I am just catching back up with your work and am really impressed with what you have achieved with your additions. Unless they have tried to make realistic figures themselves, I doubt few modellers appreciate how difficult they are to make appear presentable and you have done an excellent job. My favorite is the older gentleman in the blue suit! Please continue to share with us your progress. Gary
  9. Outstanding craftsmanship on the Mercedes and the diorama.
  10. I had not opened the Fujimi 1967 MKIIB kit before but did this morning and it has an extra sprue with the rear fender flares and other add ons for the 67 Daytona version,.
  11. Gorgeous build, congratulations.
  12. From this picture it looks like they addded on a spoiler from a yellow with black stripes GT and painted only the rear side of the spoiler. Very interesting catch Jason.

    911 GT1

Impressive build. I too have been afraid of the decals but your experience is encouraging.
  14. I do like it a lot.
  15. I am impressed.
  16. Earlier this year I decided I needed a Ford F100 to go along with my Shelby race cars. I had just about given up when I found this Ertl Kmart Blue Light Special bank. Surprisingly the rear cab window was blanked off so I had to drill it out. Once the window was opened up some Viking blue like paint and some detail painting along with some Fred Cady decals and I had my Shelby shop truck ready to roll to the next race.
  17. I have admired your work for some time. The collection of machine tools is really outstanding.
  18. A barn find indeed. I like the idea!
  19. This is what you get from the Lindberg 1/24 Cobra Dayton. It is modeled on the prototype CSX 2287 with the low windshield. Not much to it and the plastic tires need to be replaced. This model was built when dinosaurs roomed the earth.

    MG - TC

    Great job with the MG.
  21. Outstanding build. It definitely shows the effort you put into it.
  22. I like what you have done Ben, and William with the dash gauges. What is ironic is both Monogram kits, the Essex Wire (1965) and the Street Burner (#2 Feinstein 1974) kits are based upon chassis CSX3009, just different periods in its lifespan.
  23. One of the differences from stock on CSX3009 was the lip on the rear fenders was smoothed out as you can see in the photos. I built mine before the Monogram Essex Wire kit was released so the decals are kind of funky now. Dry rub-on lettering on clear decal which has now yellowed.
  24. This picture may not help a whole lot but it is original, I took it myself at Mid Ohio, August 1965.
  25. Art, I appreciate the look back you provided. Gary
