  1. Welcome Roger, I am a couple of years older and recently retired but am enjoying spending more time back in the hobby I have loved since 1957. Gary
  2. Well done. A save like yours can be very rewarding. I went through my Cobra parts and found the carbs and air cleaners, one headlamp, the red taillights and the front turn signals. If you will send me a message with your address I can mail them to you.
  3. Well done.
  4. Thank you guys for the photos and links to the previous topics, very informative.
  5. Icons also did a 1963 Corvette Coupe with rotating head lamp buckets which is very nice as well. I do not like white walls on a Corvette so painted them black. It was marketed under the Team Caliber logo.
  6. The Revell is a street diecast without the cutout for the side pipes and the hood scoop but the top is from a Monogram Street Cobra kit. Maybe I should add side curtains.
  7. I do not have the Franklin Mint 427 Cobra and can not comment on it but at this point I don't feel like I need it. My bad, I neglected to include a photo of the WIX trunk.
  8. Following are some quick pictures of the WIX diecast, forgive the quality but they should give you an idea. Of the 4 diecast 1/24 Cobras it is the best and most detailed in my opinion. Left to right, Revell, Welly, WIX, Shelby Collectibles (slab side CSX 2000) ) L
  9. I have one and think it is pretty good. Will take pictures as soon as I finish my lunch.
  10. You are doing a great job with this, keep it up.
  11. I like what you did with the Corvette. I converted the same kit to the 1966 Penske L88 car which raced at the Daytona road race.
  12. Simon, that is one beautiful Aston model, congratulations.
  13. The Studebaker is my favorite. You were fortunate to find all of them though.
  14. What David said X 2.
  15. Impressive to say the least.
  16. Aggressive looking '67.
  17. I like your engine, good contract between Chrome and cast metal like the headers and valve covers.
  18. Working on a rescued Porsche 904, the original Monogram issue based upon their slot car. The blue is the before shot. It had to be stripped and cleaned up. Will be a red Filipinetti Le Mans entry.
  19. Super build. Really captures the look.
  20. Nice. Glad you were able to use the decals.
  21. 1955 Ford Customline?
  22. You have such a clean building style. Well done.
  23. Johnny, Seeing what you have done with the kit of the roadster, it is beautiful. I have this bagged kit sitting in my stash which I will never use. It is yours if you send me a PM with your mailing address and I will get it in the mail to you tomorrow. It will be my pleasure. Gary
  24. Thanks JC for sharing Norm's new offering.
