Your favourite Box art

I like your selections JC. The 300SL is a new on me though, is it an AMT issue? Here are a few of my favorites. -
I really appreciate the in progress photos. They are very helpful.

The new additions are really looking good. Looking forward to your stairways.

Looking good but a word of caution on the numbers. The number 7 at Le Mans was a 4 liter with an extra large hood bulge.
-
I too have the pieces assembled to do this model and will be watching closely.

Great subject and great build.

The exhaust tubing is amazing as is the rest of the detailing.

Rex, The Mustang 1 is the Automodello diecast now out of production and very expensive. The #15 is the is the Monogram slot car body narrowed 3/16 on a Fujimi chassis and interior. The #71 is the Mini Exotics version. The #1 1965 LM long nose is the Joker. The #6 is the Thunder Valley The #9 is the Le Mans Miniatures The 2017 Ford GT is the Carrera Slot Car.

Seriously nice work Ron. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, here is my Ford GT collection so far. Now lest you think I am taking sides on the "which came first, the chicken or the egg" discussion, I would have included the Lola MK6 GT if I had mine finished.

OK, Peter you have forced me out in the open with your beautiful collection! Once upon a time (2003?) I got over ambitious and decided to do a GT40 evolution collection and burned myself out before finishing it. Still trying to finish it and have even added some more to build. Thank you Peter and Rex for the inspiration.

It's been awhile since my last update on the Ford GPW....

It is looking really good Art. -
Really super builds. I like how your toned down the wheels to match the subtle appearance of the bodies.

Impressive. The Leo Models offered some really great Alfa Romeo subjects in subscription series. While I agree with you the older BBuragos left a lot to be desired the newer releases have improved significantly and they are starting to release the Le Grandi Ferrari Collection under their own labels. -
I have done a few slot body backfills but they never came out of the mold looking this good. Well done on an excellent subject.

Oh my, a beautiful build. The engine compartment is amazing.
-
I like what you are doing with it. I think I still have the engine and some other parts laying around.

I think you nailed the look of 2467 Dave. Outstanding!

David, You have done some outstanding and imaginative work here. Like you I am a fan of Michael Paul Smith's work, Guilherme Holtz, and Peter Mc Kercher too. Gary

About 2 years ago my wife asked me to stop in at the Rite Aid drug store to pick her favorite type of dental flosser. As I was headed to the counter, my jaw dropped. There was a stand alone rack of diecast cars and Bennie Babies. I had entered the world of Welly's! I walked out with a handful of Welly diecast and of course the dental floss. Now I already had a couple of BBurago Ferraris and a Danbury Mint Testa Rossa but I had never seen anything like these Welly's. Since that day I have picked up a lot more 1/24 diecasts. Now I have been building models since 1957 but at my age I am not able to build as much as I would like. The diecasts allow me to feed my passion. I have noted the term "Estate Sale" popping up quite a bit on EBay for the Mint type diecasts which is kind of sad but it does provide us opportunities we might not have had previously to own some of these gems..

I like it Pat. I find these rescue project to be fun and rewarding.

Caution, caution! As Rex well knows GT40s can become an addiction. In 2005 I was trying to build a complete evolution of the GT40 and got burned out. With retirement coming up maybe I can pick it up again.
