  1. I thought it was just me who was getting a distorted view due to a lousy head cold I have been fighting. Jim has done a super job with the model so I knew it could not be him. Now that i see the comparisons I think the hood appears too short and as said above, swiping the exhaust pipes to the rear would make a difference and are worth a try. Now where did I put those tissues, hack, hack, sneeze, sneeze, even the dog is keeping her distance.
  2. Very well done indeed. Thank you for sharing.
  3. As I was storming out of Lowes today, storming because they will be glad to sell you a refrigerator but will not sell you a water filter replacement. So I almost ran into a rack of diecasts and one diecast stood out to me because it was bigger than the rest. This Jeep US Postal Service delivery vehicle is a Kinsmart 1/26th scale diecast. Being a Jeep guy, I had to have it. Tom Geiger might have posted this already. Living in the greater Washington DC area I just wanted to let you know those are not meant to be bullet holes in the background.
  4. We saw a Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV parked outside the gym 2 days ago. Went back to take a picture but it was gone darn it.
  5. Really nice carvings as we have come to expect from you. The fingers really give a better understanding of the scale too.
  6. Good looking Ford especially after you got done with your added detail.
  7. Very well-done Ray. It is certainly welcome to see one built up.
  8. Really nice my friend. The added details make it special. Thanks for posting the photos.
  9. Another impressive build from your bench Rich. Certainly a seldom seen kit by Otaki (see, somebody reads the tags ?). The latches are incredible and color and finish is spot on. I am disappointed you did not use 3D printed leaves though.?
  10. 1988 was the 35th anniversary of Corvette production , so a coupe only 35th Special Edition Package (RPO Z01; $4,795.00) was available. White was the theme, in observance of the 1953 Corvettes, all of which had white exteriors. Included were white wheels along with white door handles and side strip.
  11. I got lucky and was the only bidder on this 1988 Corvette 35th Anniversary Special Editon from Franklin Mint. I do have a special attraction to all white Corvettes so this fit the bill.
  12. Impressive Lambo indeed. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  13. It would have been an international crime Dave if you had not posted pictures of your Chaparrals. What a great collection. Thank you for sharing.
  14. That is one amazing collection you captured there John. Hope someone can identify the builder for us as you requested.
  15. Thanks for sharing the photo and the link to your amazing Fotki resource.
  16. I copied this photo from Ron Savoie as a tribute to him. He passed away last year.
  17. Please share with us the ones you have restored or not.
  18. How did I miss this till now? Very well done indeed. I've not paid much attention to late model Porsches (other than diecast) but these builds are really attention getting. Oh yes, I am surely going to borrow your wheel color technique. Thanks for sharing that.
  19. Yup Steve, my mistake and I have edited in the corrections.
  20. Super great input Rich. Thank you for sharing them. I was lucky to see the 2 Cs race at Mid Ohio.
  21. A recent post of a beautiful Chaparral model got me thinking about my old survivors, now dirty, glue marks showing, yellowed, and decades old. Chaparral 2 An unknown slot car body. Chaparral - AMT 2A Chaparral 2A - Cox Chaparral - IMC 2E Chaparral 1 - what's left of a Scudreria Scale body Come on Chaparral fans, let's see your survivors.
  22. Now that is a beautiful model!
  23. I have started using Krylon Workable Fixatif to spray the decal sheet and it seems to work well so far. I also copy the decal sheet so I can print it on new decal paper if I need to.
  24. I use only non-acetone polish remover. It is safer and works for me.
  25. Beautiful build.
