  1. Nice! I do like the color!
  2. Very cool!! That's exactly what I'm talking about, to me that just looks mean, especially in black! A lot of folks call the Buick GN/GNX's Darth Vader, but that T/A more looks the part to me!
  3. They both look amazing!!
  4. Nice looking Road Runner!
  5. I actually started these last week, and I finally got some time to spend on them again after being kept busy all week by a variety of other things. I finished prepping the bodies by sanding down the mold lines, trimming the flash, and deepening the panel lines. I also glued on the front ends, tail panels and rear spoilers. All of the other parts are trimmed as well, and the engine halves and seats have been glued together and the seams filled and sanded. After seeing that the grille/headlight piece would be tough to install after attaching the front end, I decided to cut the part in half on both kits and went ahead and glued on the front ends. Everything is ready for primer now which hopefully I can start spraying on Monday.
  6. The '98-'02's with the Ram Air hoods are just plain mean looking in my opinion, and they run like the devil too! I most certainly will try to get as in-depth on using the craft paints as I can!
  7. Very cool and very creative!! Well done!
  8. I decided to start on my Revell 1970 Pontiac Firebird kits. I'll be trying to do both at once, and hopefully be successful since they're low parts count kits. I'll be doing one in Blue (as close to Lucerne Blue as I can get), and the other in White with blue interiors for both. I'll be doing both with all craft paints, and have ordered a decal sheet from Keith Marks that has the Trans Am script for the fenders and rear spoiler for both cars, since they're missing from the kit decal sheet due to licensing issues. This should be easy enough to stay on track with and keep updated with pics, but with my forgetful mind nothing's guaranteed, lol. These have been my favorite Muscle Cars for a long time, so I'm hoping to do them justice in kit form.
  9. I wanted to go to my HL to check out their Createx prices compared to spraygunner.com, and my wife wanted to go too, since we needed to drop something off at the UPS store close by. I ended up grabbing the Foose Impala for a project down the road, lucked into a can of Model Master Sublime Green Lacquer for a different project, and the wife picked out the Pearlized Purple and Transparent Deep Red. I ended up ordering my Reducer, Retarder, Balancing Clear, Gloss Clear and a couple of other Pearlized colors from spraygunner.com.
  10. Wow! I remember collecting those Golden Wheels way back when, lol. I had the Dodge Wanted Van as a teen almost 40 years ago, I screwed up those big decals pretty bad, lol!
  11. Very well done! Great paint!
  12. Nice job! That certainly looks like something one would fine here in Michigan!
  13. Looks good! I did one of those as a kid about 35 years ago, might be time to find another one.
  14. That's a beauty! Great paint job!
  15. Well done on all three, but that Snakeskin Viper is something else!! Very cool!!
  16. Very nice job on what I've heard is a rough kit. Looks good in Gold!
  17. Looks great and the stance is spot-on!! About 100 times better than the box art, in fact it has me kind of seriously considering picking up one or two now, as the box art had me scared off, lol.
  18. looks great! Nice paint!
  19. LOL, that's what I figured. I am probably still going to try it during the summer when I can paint in the shed, as it would be a cost-effective alternative to the smaller cans of Tamiya and Testors.
  20. I've been thinking that same thing, unfortunately the Convertible kit is nearing un-obtanium status and prices anymore. Missing Link Resin used to make the hardtop body, but by the time I finally decided to pick one up he no longer makes them☹️☹️. I snoozed, and I lost?, lol.
  21. Looks great, and what a nice, smooth paint job! You're right, that is a great kit.
  22. Looks good! It's unfortunate that the Johan mold of this car was apparently lost forever as I would love the chance to build one. Better yet, a hardtop version of the Revell '72 Indy Pace Car so I can replicate my first car.
  23. Thanks Tom! Thanks Eric! Thank you Dennis! Thanks Cliff! Thanks Monty, my first two paint jobs I did three years ago after 20 years away from the hobby were enamel, then I tried lacquer and was sold on lacquers after that. I got an airbrush in hopes of following Donn Yost's painting methods, but I can not paint with lacquers and enamels in the house, so the craft paint method was researched and tried. I still use the lacquer spray cans in my shed in the warmer months, but it's great to be able to also lay down a decent craft paint job in the house during the winter months. Thanks Roger! I have another one that I was thinking of doing something similar to your plans with. Thank you Mike! They're just so easy to work with in my opinion, and such easy clean-up, and no smell, lol. I have to ask about the smell on the Rustoleum Lacquer Clear, as I've seen others have good success with it. I can't spray anything solvent based in the house due to the family having sensitivities to the smell.
  24. Well done Bill, that looks fantastic, and I love the color!! Even if I had the time to put forth on such a project, I don't think I could drop that kind of coin on such an intricate and detailed kit at my current skill level, if ever, lol. Let alone having the space to display it, which is the main reason every time I think about wishing for re-releases of Monogram's 1/8 scale styrene kits, the thought leaves my mind as quickly as it entered it. With you mentioning it a few times, I have become very curious as to the finished weight of that beast, though.
  25. Nice, clean and tight looking build and a really nice paint job!
