  1. That's a beauty! Great color and paint job.
  2. Definitely mean and nasty. Great color too. I remember the Nash that's pictured on that box, one of the crazier Pro-Streeters of the time.
  3. Looks good! Sometimes the simple rattle can paints are the best answer, it certainly was in this case.
  4. Great shot! Thank you! Looks like PCS 362 or maybe PCS 382. I think you nailed it though, PCS 362 it will be until further evidence is presented. Thank you again for your time and effort!
  5. Personally, my taste is gravitating toward these two selections, depending on the route you're going with the build. The black and red rims obviously being painted different colors, the outside being brushed aluminum, to compliment the body color.
  6. Thanks Francis! The Pledge/Future is an acrylic that is used mainly over other acrylic/water based paints and does go on glossy. Most of it's use is as a clear coat, but is also used to coat kit glass for a more realistic look and to help eliminate fogging when using harsher glues for installation. There are numerous tutorials, including one in these forums, on it's uses and how to apply it. I try not to overuse it, but in this case having painted the car with Vallejo Model Color, which is an acrylic, I decided to use the pledge/future instead of my Model Master spray can clear just to be safe.
  7. Well, it's a yellow Camaro now, lol. Got the color coats on and the first coat of pledge clear. Not quite as pale as I was hoping for, it looked fairly pale in it's bottle, but it'll do. Going to wait a few days before I foil it and add the Z28 decals to the front fenders. Also got the motor installed into the chassis.
  8. ?? Looks like I'll probably have to. I think I can get fairly close.
  9. I've seen a ton of them both in this forum and on the Facebook groups that I'm in and I don't think I've seen a bad one done yet. Never get tired of seeing them either, just a great looking kit!
  10. Nice colors and paint job! Great choice for wheels too! Looks sharp!
  11. Looking like a nice, clean build so far. I definitely need to pick one of these kits up.
  12. More progress on the Camaro from the last couple of days. Finished the interior, wired the engine and detailed the wheels. While I'm working on the suspension/ride height, I'll show my second attempt at weathering an undercarriage. I think I'm liking it! I hope to get the color coats laid down on Monday or Tuesday.
  13. Thanks! You know, I'm kind of torn. I want to do the car as close to what it looked like in the movie as possible, and have spent hours looking at videos and photos to get the last details right, but you are right, those driving lights are just plain ugly...on all of the cars in the movie. I get the use and function, but ??.
  14. Looks great so far! What a great method and step by step tutorial for doing flames. I might actually be able to flames this way, thanks again for the step by step breakdown!
  15. Got it in white primer now, just not sure when I'll get to the color coats. Quick mock of the seats on the interior pan, and a shot of the finished dash. I primed the seats with Stynylrez black primer, and liked the way they looked, kind of like the fabric material of many seats from back then, so I left them and just painted the inserts and sides and used some satin clear for the vinyl look.
  16. Thanks! That's one of the shots/scenes that I keep replaying, pausing and freeze framing on my computer to try to get a good look, but just barely can't quite make out the numbers?. I'm going to try to get my youtube going on my big T.V. to see if it comes in any clearer, or if the size of the screen alone will help see it better ?.
  17. Would any of you fine folks happen to have a clear enough picture/view of this movie cars' license plate. I'm currently working on a replica of it and would really like to get all of the details right. Unfortunately, I don't own the movie at the moment and any videos I've seen on youtube all seem too blurry to make out the numbers and letters, let alone the state. I thank everyone in advance for any info.
  18. A little more progress. Got some gray primer on it to see any imperfections that need attention before a wet sand. Then a coat or two of white primer followed by the color coats. The interior is coming along nicely. just some dash detail and that should wrap that up. I'll start on the engine and suspension next after some detail and small parts painting. This is the part that usually slows me down, as no matter how organized I think I am, I always forget to paint some parts or miss a detail or two and have to go back to fix it.
  19. Nice job! Probably a close second to the red '70 Chevelle SS454 as the most iconic Muscle Car, at least in my opinion ?.
  20. Looks great and and a fine color choice!
