  1. My wife and I caught Disney's Jungle Cruise last night. Another Disney World attraction brought to life if you will. Its a lot of "turn off your brain and just enjoy it" action, that probably would have worked better as a completely animated film. It is entertaining, but don't expect any Oscars forthcoming. A fun story and good characters.
  2. Terrific stuff.
  3. A terrific group. Well done.
  4. Great stuff. I know what you mean about homesteading. I've never had less time for modeling than I do now and that includes my time in the service. I just need to get as much modeling as I can while there's snow on the ground.
  5. The Olds has to be one of my favorite for the year. Everything about it just works so well. Ataboy.
  6. Your paint work is nothing short of amazing. Great stuff.
  7. Love them all.
  8. Great stuff. Super finish and clean work. Winner!
  9. Wow. That's a lot of work. Super well done too.

    2021 Builds

    Super clean work. Great stuff.
  11. The models and the backdrops are outstanding! The hauler is dynamite.
  12. It was nice to get two new builds and two long languishing builds finished. 1948 Ford hot rod. On this one, I added the independent suspension parts, exhaust and cross frame from the Monogram '37 Ford Coupe. It was actually quite easy. I recommend trying it if you are doing a resto-mod. A Ford stock car engine. I may end up taking this one apart again, to get the front just a tad lower and the stock car headers sit so low a speed bump would wipe them out. 1968 Corvette - this one was my Cannonball entry. It's the Lee Greenwood racer done as a barn find that has been mechanically restored and then raced in the CBR. 1937 Chevy - a fun build. Lots of mods. Engine from the Beretta pro-street. I did end up adding the door handles. The Viper Kart - when I first started seeing the recent trend of Vette Karting, I knew I had to build one. However looking at my Corvette kits, I realized they didn't lend themselves to building a stripped down Corvette very well, but the Revell Viper kit, that was a different story. Lots of fun, lots of imagineering, and my first use of 3D printed parts. The injection intake is just the icing on the cake. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
  13. Interesting choice! Certainly a good kit.
  14. Do we have a winner yet?
  15. Wow. Dennis, ,that is some serious sanding. Good work on the print.
  16. So after perusing some P2P racer photos, I've noticed that some racers have a very race inspired paint job, so I've done some rethinking, and I'm going to do a So-Cal inspired two tone.
  17. And another bump.
  18. I have edited the original post so we are official! Thanks again to Pete for donating the time and postage for the rally decals. This build is number one on the bench right now and will be trying to push on through.
  19. I used the Monogram inline because like the '39, it is 1/24 scale. It also comes with some slick performance parts, like a header and a multi carb intake. It fits in the '39 really easily too.
  20. I've done a gasser on this one using the inline 6 from the Monogram 53 Chevy. Turned out pretty nice. I look forward to setting this come together.
  21. Here is where I left off with my P2P racer. Still don't have an engine, though one on the way, and I haven't decided on a color. I'm going to have to check the rules on what I can add.
  22. Here's my start pic. I'm going with a modern pro-touring vibe, kinda like this. Most of the plan is to get the "look" by whatever means necessary, based on time. I've recently started a new job that will hopefully increase the bench time. Hopefully. I'll try for a widebody kit and a front valance, and it will feature a 3D printed twin turbo 427. At a minimum. Body mods aren't my specialty, so we'll see. Depending on time, I'll try to get more involved with the chassis, beyond the one-piece that comes with '69 kit. Looking forward to this run. I
  23. Dennis, the Pontiac is an inspired choice. I never would have thought of a concept car. I'll have to look into that for 1968.
  24. I'm in. At this time I'm going to go with a 1968 Buick Riviera. Unless something unexpected pops up, I'm comfortable picking the build. Looking forward to this.
  25. Go ahead and use what numbers you would like. If two people want the same number, I doubt it will bother anyone.
