  1. This looks terrific. I really like flat paint on pretty much everything. This has a great look that I really like.
  2. This will probably my last update. The rest is just details, bumpers, weathering, visor and the like. And fixing some dings. See you on the shelf.
  3. Man, this is impressive work.
  4. The entire resin, photoetch, decal, and 3D printing aftermarket industry vehemently disagrees with you. Most of us would call what we do, art. Doc Cranky's work was certainly good enough to qualify. Would deny an artist the right to make money from his work?
  5. I love it. They look terrific. It reminds me of a set of Hot Wheels I got as a kid that I loved and took very good care of. The entire set of six was entirely chrome. In your case they are flat black, but I bet they look great together in a case.
  6. I can certainly see what you like. Cool design, but those huge gaps make it look terribly toy-like. Those would be my priority. As for the front bumper, how about some 70.5 Camaro-esque bumperettes? And just add some mesh in the grills.
  7. Fabrication on the running boards is done. And yes, the hole at the end is the exhaust exit. I think increasing the wheelbase was the right call. There is just a slight rake and the longer wheelbase emphasizes it. More soon.
  8. This would be Willow Persephone Mattis, my granddaughter, born yesterday morning. 7lbs, 2oz of perfection. My wife and I are just over the moon. I hope everyone has a wonderful new year.
  9. Wow. That's nice work.
  10. Right there with ya. My modelling ADD had full control this year.
  11. That's a Scooby Do mystery right there. Any suspects?
  12. Outstanding! I'm real glad to see you join Bill. For those that don't know, Bill is THE GUY for model TV/Movie cars. His Batmobile collection is quite epic. Back before this forum, he did a pretty successful series of TV/Movie car build offs on the SA forums, and it was those CBP's that helped give me the idea for the Cannonball CBP.
  13. A very slick little hot rod. Nicely done.
  14. We bought our little homestead two years ago and the wife has been pining for a horse, since. To her credit she was planning on putting it off until the farm is really running well with some cattle and a big garden to get more self suffiicient. But this little fella was too nice to pass up, at the right price. He's of undetermined parentage, likely some sort of mustang/quarterhorse mix, like most the horses here in Idaho. He's 8 months old so she has plenty of time to get him all trained before she ever tries to ride him. She named him Rascal and he's settled in real well and he's in a MUCH better situation with us, than his last home. My wife is VERY happy.
  15. My bother-in-law has been trying to get me to listen to these guys for years. So I listened to Lateralus last week. Clearly they are talented, but without the aforementioned hooks and tendency for repetition, it just didn't grab me.
  16. Dude. I'm in awe. Very slick work. You make it look sooo easy.
  17. I'm sure there are worse ones, but the bad ones that crossed my bench are the Revell Lil John '34 Ford and the AMT '67 GTO. I've seen this kit built hundreds of times over the years on the forums. Built it and enjoyed it myself. Most agree that the chop could have been done better, but what was it that you found so distasteful that you'd add it here?

    69 Camaro

So he did. My mistake. ?

    69 Camaro

If you really want to irritate the masses, call it a GT instead. A terrific build. Perfect paint and stance. Any engine shots?
  20. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while. I started one years ago based on Gary Campesi's narrowed GTO but all I ended up doing is butchering a lot of plastic. I like what you have going on here. Using the Lil John chassis is a very smart idea. I will be paying close attention.
  21. Very nicely done. I like it.
  22. A lot more custom work right there than might be evident, unless you are familiar with the kit. That looks super.
  23. I for one, will be looking forward to seeing this CBR unfold. As there have been countless movie and TV cars kitted over the years, so it should be easy to find something you are into. As far as making them Cannonball worthy, I suspect a lot of modern Challenger, Camaro and Mustang kits will be without engines this time next year. ?
  24. A very ambitious idea. IMCDB.org calls it a '51. https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1301734-Hudson-Hornet-7A-1951.html
  25. Fit properly. This is gonna be your problem. I wish engine swaps were that easy. As for the moluminum units, they do look good. I was going to get one for a current project, but I couldn't get my head around paying $30 for an engine.
