Colors look spot on to me! ?

Don't get bogged down with a ton of extra details, especially if you're not familiar with the subject. It's just a recipe for burnout. You said that the box art caught your eye, then build it like the art depicts and paint the unseen stuff the way your heart desires. Who's going to argue? And you're more likely to be satisfied with the end result. Like Bill said, have fun with it!

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!

Don't leave those old cars on the beach, the salt water makes them rust. ? -
Beautiful boats. Probably the best way to build a scale version of one of these curve monsters would be to do a plank on frame design, just like the originals. Plastic would be sturdier, but wood strips would look way cool!

Amazing photos

Incredible! We need to learn from people like him. Having a disability is not a curse. What God hasn't provided him in social norms, he more than makes up for in artistry. He's probably got a future in crime solving! When he was very young, my son was diagnosed as on the spectrum of Autism. At the time we were heartbroken, thinking only of his limitations. Instead we learned he is highly social, funny and also has a high IQ and attention for minute details and memorization. While some autistic traits occasionally appear, we have taught him to recognize those behaviors and to redirect the energy. Today he is top of his class, has lots of friends and has lots of interests and skills, as well as a future in writing, rocketry, science, history, engineering or even teaching, as he is amazingly adept at making boring, difficult subjects very understandable and interesting. He loves history and constantly teaches me things in great detail, that I never knew. -
I realize that it's fictional, but I was thinking of trying to redo it into an actual school bus. I'm having a tough time trying to find what prototype brand comes closest to the bus body. Blue Bird, Wayne, Crown? Any clues? The beak is pretty close to a Chevy C60. If I can rebuild the rest to something true to accurate. I know this will be a major undertaking.

I referring to the Entex 1/12 kit that rrb124 was talking about.

Could be a Tamiya. They did a 1/12 version too. I've got the 1/20 version of the kit along with an old Tomy "Pocket Cars" diecast and an empty box of Player cigarettes to display with it when it's completed. Very "non-PC" I know, but when my dad smoked, he happened to have that brand once and I thought it was cool to go with the kit, so I kept the box. Been together since the 80s.

at what point is too long to wait for something to be shipped
Oldcarfan27 replied to MrMiles's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
After 2 weeks of waiting with no answers - NO, HE IS NOT! With $1300 on the line, the company has an obligation and a responsibility to do everything to make his order complete! Excuses be damned! -

And not because you're biased or anything. It's not like you have a 72sj at home or anything like that! I love these cars. They look so perfect, just like Buick Rivieras nine years earlier and mid 60s GTOs. The designs are classic.
