  1. I like the Chrysler and the 69 Chevy. Good haul!
  2. That's actually a decent build for that kit, I've seen worse junk sold on Ebay. If I had something available, I'd trade you for it.
  3. Makes sense to me. I'm sure 50 years ago people said recycling aluminum cans, glass bottles and copper wire was a waste of time too. If recyclers could concentrate plastic as a recyclable entity in and of itself, we could eliminate a giant ecological problem all at once. I for one have many bags, packaging, straws and broken appliances I could donate to that one centralized bin.
  4. Sure, then we'll all be dying of thirst! At least Hydrogen will make water for us, instead of smog. Why haven't they figured that out yet?
  5. Wow, I hope not. That thing looks nothing like a 68 Impala, fans would be out for blood if that one came back! I don't think there is a high enough demand for that one. It was basically a customized 67 Impala. Which they could easily do with the 67 tooling they already have.
  6. Tom, The origin of mine goes back to the nineties when I was trying to come up with my first name (Acarnut). I have always loved cars, even since I was little, much the way other kids liked trains, dinosaurs or animals. Problem is, I never outgrew it. When I needed a new one, I just added a couple numbers to it. By the time I had joined here, I was into Old Cars, so I tried that and I added the 27 to it as that is my wife's birthday. It was accepted - I had no idea there was another oldcarfan on here until I had seen his name some months later. GMTA! My avatar is the Firebird because that was one of my first favorite cars and the movie Smokey and the Bandit left an indelible impression on me. In fact, in my garage is a project 78 Trans Am that my kids and I are going to be working on as soon as I can get my work situation stabilized.
  7. Ooo, an Airfix 007 Aston Martin. Now that's a great idea! Fits the criteria: Original tooling lost. Needs to be completely cloned. Can't be built stock. MPC and Airfix used the same tooling. R2 has the Bond license. Fits in with current line up. Also ties in with the Black Beauty. Very popular collector following. Would get builders excited! (Except Steve)?
  8. Anybody notice that there is no paint on the brush and that none of the paint bottle colors are even used on the kit?
  9. Bump. A little hint for Steve G. of Round 2. Hoping they can find it. Cast your votes here, guys!
  10. As you are such a stickler for accuracy, I've got to show you this before you get too far... In order the prevent water leaks, a convertible top must sit on top of the windshield header, not behind it. You shouldn't be able to see so much chrome on the header when the top is up. But as everybody says, it's your model, build it as you wish.
  11. It's not everybody, it's just a select few who are preaching the fossil fuel global meltdown and are forcing the rest of us to conform - or else. Automobile manufacturers are being regulated to be completely energy compliant by 2035 or risk huge penalties and fines. The mantra used to be gasoline bad. Diesel, nuclear, natural gas, propane, hydrogen and hybrids good. Essentially, anything that was clean burning to reduce emmisions was promoted as acceptable, but somehow in the last couple of years, all those alternatives have become forbidden and it MUST BE electric or else! Nevermind that we don't have the technology to provide completely renewable electricity and probably won't be able to for 30 to 50 years. You think brown and black outs are inconvenient now? Just wait to see how our electric resources crash when everyone has EV cars and puts a massive overload all at the same time. Oh by the way, currently our electric power plants still rely heavily on fossil fuels to run, since those same elites have shutdown nuclear plants for many years now.
  12. I'd choose the phone booth. I never got to see the Avenger built.
  13. Yeah, but yours is too heavy to put in a model car. ?
  14. If I may ask, how did he get the name Fmeep? Was that a noise he made?
  15. Great detail, looking forward to seeing more. ?
  16. I agree. Perfect car for a "sharp dressed man".
  17. I like the wheels. Where did you get them, are they 3d printed?
  18. Yes, it's also a "Boss delete" car!
  19. If he's a private seller, maybe he's trying to clean out his stash?
  20. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. Can't wait to see more.
  21. Nonstop surprises, Steve! Keep it up, you guys are great.
  22. I myself have wondered about that for decades. Why do we send our equipment and parts there for substandard labor, copyright infringement, tech theft and confiscation. The bitter pill is the final retail price isn't any cheaper.
  23. Your figures are very talented. I can't even get mine to stay put on the Millennium Falcon. ?
