How often do you still see an early Celica? Around here, not much at all! Speaking of Celicas, will the real Mustang please stand up. I think Ford did it better. -
I want that kit!

Unless some major news comes out between now and fall, my comment still stands.

I was mistaken. I thought these lenses were split horizontally and that it took 2 halves to make 1 lens. I was thinking these were like the oval ones on Roscoe's police car. But they are actually like the ones on Squad 51. I can see a use for these myself. I've got a few TV show projects that need these. Thanks to Carl for clearing it up for me.

Scale Master decals. Impressive! Have they been using them for their decals all along, or is this new?

Don't forget the Garbage truck, the IH 4070A, the Wild Hoss Bronco and the many lost kits brought back from the Racing Champions graveyard. "Yeah, but what have you done for me, lately?"

For those who have been asking for a Divco, here's your chance! I always like the Manx. Might have to get another one. It's a fun kit! I dig the baja bug and Blazer slot cars, but without an offroad looking track, it doesn't make much sense. Do they have a dirt-looking track set available to use these on?

Isn't that what this is? BTW, the package says "choice of color lenses", but I'm only seeing 4 lenses. So if one bar is red and blue, the other HAS to be clear and yellow, no other choice. ? What if someone wants all amber? Gotta buy 2 sets just to get one amber bar? Not much choice.

That's just making the most from what's inside the box. There's nothing wrong with that! Especially when the final result is as good as what you've done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!

Gorgeous Winfield fade. Custom touches are tastefully done. Looks period correct. Well done, Gary!

What if BMW "aero'd up" their 80s 635 model? It would've probably ended up looking like the Thunderbird SC. Put some Crown Victoria lace wheels on the 'Bird and you've got an almost exact copy! -
This looks great! The wheels appear to be Chrysler rally wheels, but they look perfect in this application. Thank you for posting the origins of this toy, now I know what to look for. I already found 4 of them online.

MPC used those in many 70s kits. I remember them being in the 72 Cheyenne longbed stepside, as well as the Camaro and Firebird annuals as the race car tires. Probably in their stock car racers too.

Good point! Never thought about how the 2nd gen Camaro DOES look like an updated 69 Barracuda. Same idea with the 'Cuda/Camaro switch. Maybe they switched designers mid-stream? -
Ever notice many similarities in car designs throughout the years? These are designs during their same time period, not talking about retro cars. And we're not talking about "badge engineering" either. 1. How come General Motors didn't use the front of the 61 Pontiac with the tail of the 61 Chevrolet? Similarities are uncanny. Ever notice the 3rd gen Camaro looks like an updated Monza? 3. Who copied who? 78 Challenger and 79 Mustang. 4. For years, I couldn't tell which was the Plymouth and which was the Studebaker. 5. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Ford and Volvo. Even the vertical taillight idea was cribbed from the Ford Sportsman. 6. I think the Chevelle got the designs mixed up. The '70 should be matched up to the '71 rear bumper... And the 71-72 square framed single headlights need to match the 70 single, squared rear taillights. Add some of your own design dupes, but please, show major styling cues, not minor parts like mirrors, rally wheels, fake vent slats, etc.

Coca Cola Kits ?

I ordered mine. They said it would be shipped by the first of next April, so I bought ten more! Anybody know where I can buy a can of Clearview 2000? Or a fully detailed 32 Ford roadster the size of your fingernail?

Such a tease.

Yeah side by side, it does look stubby in the back. Hmm, now you've got me thinking. I like a challenge! I may have to keep my eyes open for a cheap opportunity. Definitely not going to pay big $$$ for a crummy kit. Thanks for the inspiration, Mike. ?

"A good looking Palmer". Is that even a viable term? Apparently, there is some hope for some of them. Who'da thunk it? I may even have to look inside the boxes now! How close is it to size of the 61 Ranchero?
