  1. Just don't leave it on the dash, I've seen the UV and windshields do some horrendous things to little plastics. Think magnifying glass and ants!
  2. I hope so, I need various sizes of plastic strips. I don't have any need for the tubes and rods they currently carry. And I hope they start carrying BMF too.
  3. Lockdown in 10, 9, 8, 7.... This is not the hill I want to die on. This subject just isn't that important. Do I have to get the hose?
  4. Sorry, not trying to be a "Debbie Downer". I'd love to find these trucks, especially the 57-60 versions. I know how elusive they are and that they've never been reissued, hence my resignation that they've been sent to that great tooling vault in the sky. However, I'd love to be proven wrong.
  5. So funny!! You had me going, I was concerned for your safety!
  6. Last ones. J1 - AMT 55 Corvette? J4 - Revell. Model A sedan? J5 - MPC 66 Charger annual? J1 - J2 - J3 - AMT '34 Ford pickup, custom, first issue only. J4 - Revell 56 Chevy orig issue J5 - MPC '66 Charger/Polara/Monaco K1 has Mercedes logo, possibly Hubley? K2 Pinto or Chevette? K3 looks like Capri K1 - Hubley Mercedes 190 K2 - MPC Chevette. K3 - AMT Capri II K4 - Halibrand, AMT '64 Impala, annual and first reissue. Compare size to the 1/25 '55 Nomad wheel on the right, L1 is small, likely 1/43. AMT big rig? L2 is probably 1/32 L1 - L2 - AMT toylike "big rig" kits from the late Sixties. The Van Lines truck, and the dirt hauler. Thanks again to Casey for the trade. Lots of great wheels in these bags. There are other classic wheels in here, but I was already able to identify them so I didn't post them.
  7. What toy was that? Friction, radio controlled, bump n go? Did it have dark blue or black windows? What markings were on it? I want one, but have no idea what toy it originated from. Does it have a brand name and copyright date? Sorry to be a pest, but that is a cool car. You have my attention!
  8. Big thanks goes out to Mark for identifying so many of these wheels! Here's more, to keep you on your toes. G1 may be another copy of F2 Corvair, but I'm not sure. G4 looks like another Johan Cadillac, possibly 59-60 Fleetwood? G1 - mid 60s Corvair G2 - MPC Ford GT Mk IV G3 - Johan 60 Plymouth annual G4 - Johan 59 Cadillac H3 is very thin, unusual for a scale wheel or hubcap. H4 appears to have a Buick emblem in the center. 9. Group E E1 looks like Kelsey-Hayes Tbird wheels. 63 annual? E2 is a smaller size. E3 Revell, what kit? Amazingly, unmelted! E4 looks larger, like a Monogram. But has 8 lugs. Chevy van? 12. Don't worry, if it was an "R", the title would have been: "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah"
  13. With the price of materials being what they are right now, expect it to retail at $49.99 by October. Not insider information - just a little prediction.
  14. I've already got about a half dozen of them, so not really in the market for another one. Now if it came with the Coke machine....
  15. What happened in 1993? If they did have the other inserts available and could only use one, I would've preferred the "Street Rat" issue. But that's just me. Oooh, those slots. Probably the best ever done in this scale! If Revell lost them and Atlantis has it, that would be quite a coo for them to release these as a parts pack. I'd buy 4 or 5 sets!
  16. Funny! Or the Pontiac a stray. ?
  17. Might be a little late for this, but Italeri made an Opel Blitz tanker truck that would have a perfect chassis for your build. Opel was a European division of General Motors. Same corporation that made the Chevy like yours.
  18. Lookin good so far! I like utility trucks and this one ought to be good when finished.
  19. I'm not an airbrush user so I do what I can with spray cans. I've used VHT night shades clear red over a gold base and it gave a great candy effect. It's available at auto parts stores. There is also their Metal Cast line in other clear colors. I haven't tried those yet, but I assume they work the same.
  20. Just received a bunch of wheels and caps from Casey. Need help identifying where some of them came from. Ive got a bunch of 'em, so I'll label them by group and number to make callouts easier. Group A #1 says Imperial around the sides. What year? #3 & #4 are smaller in size. Compacts? #3 looks like it has an Oldsmobile logo in the center. A1 - 62 Imperial A2 - Johan Turbine car A3 - 61,62 Olds wagon A4 - 62 Valiant Group B #1 looks like late 60s Ford Magnum 500s. 68-69 Fairlane? #4 is larger than standard 1/25th. Possibly Mid 70s F350 Camper Special? B1 - ? B2 - 60 Olds B3 - 65 Corvair Custom? B4 - F350 Camper Special More to come after these are identified. Thanks!
  21. As per Barris, they're covered in pearl with pink and bronze fogging on the sides to accentuate the curves.
  22. While I don't have a printer (yet), I think it would be a great thread to pin up for future use.
