  1. Makes sense, there is "POLICE" on the door of the Scout. The lettering could've been reflective gold and the sun light washed it out.
  2. Notice he glued those stacks right where the road lights/turn signals are. I guess that makes them easier to see! Almost makes it look "Super Fly", if you ask me. You lucky dog! I've got just a body to one of those and I'm hoping to come across more of it someday. For a couple bucks, you can't go wrong! Keep us updated on the progress.
  3. If it is resin, whatever you do DO NOT USE BRAKE FLUID to remove the paint. It does bad things to resin. There are other safe ways to remove paint from resin parts.
  4. I like this one! Looks like you could use the wheels and tires from the Crew Chief Blazer to match.
  5. When I start, I block sand the areas where the dips and divots are located. Many times I can eliminate many sink marks just by leveling it out. No sinking if it's just original plastic. If I can't sand enough down to eliminate it, at least I can get it smaller before filling it in. Also, I never use plastic model cement to attach sprue to fill the holes in the body. I find that it invariably sinks over time. I use super glue with no quickset for a solid fill and block sand to level out. Finally a small skim of filler to perfect the area.
  6. Illustration looks like it has flat fenders. Do you know if they are included?
  7. Sure looks alot like a former Uhaul truck to me. Even has leftover orange livery on it. Regardless, I was just saying it would make an interesting variation of the car hauler. With the announcement of the trailer to be included with the 63 Nova wagon, it gives me a good excuse to get a few of them!
  8. I never got one, but I do remember it. Fun little series of kits. I did build the Trans Am, 78 Corvette, 78 Z28, Jeep CJ and the Big Rigs and while they were simple (no, engines, plastic tires, mandatory side pipes on the cars) they did look good when built - I even played with them. (OK, I was young then!) This one looks like it would've fit right in with the rest. The Malibu Police Car looks real interesting too!
  9. Family favorites are old TV shows. Emergency! Twilight Zone. Sanford and Son Taxi Andy Griffith Show That Girl! Odd Couple Bewitched Munsters Brady Bunch CHiPs Honorable mention: Dukes of Hazzard.
  10. This might have been the prototype for the MPC kit. Uhaul used them to move small box trailers to other facilities. Retired trucks have been used for other purposes.
  11. Problem is, it's now like the Titanic. Now that everyone knows where it is - looters are going to scavenge everything of value off of it. Unfortunately, no rest or respect for the dead.
  12. Great display of trucks there. Nothing common about any of 'em.
  13. There is a mural painted on the side of a building inside Knott's Berry Farm of a 57 Biarritz convertible. Not available in real life, but a beautiful "what if" design. Cadillac would have sold a lot more of these had they made them! Great execution, David!
  14. The recent "Snow Plow" issue has pretty much everything you need for a stock'ish 4x4 conversion (except the roof cap and the seats). I'm not sure if 2wd was even available after 1977. Use the suspension, wheels, tires, hood, bumpers and mirrors. Engine parts are best rounded up somewhere else, unless you like 60's fuel injected Corvette engines attached to a 4 wheel drive transfer case. Why oh why can't Revell just fix this one back to the way it used to be?
  15. And those brackets were HEAVY! I remember those aluminum bumpers weighed over 100 pounds with all that stuff on them.
  16. Look up at Bainford's post. Looks the same as the tools in the 53 Chevy.
  17. Looking great, can't wait to see more!
  18. Sounds like it might be exactly the same a Molotow pen. Even the same price.
  19. Or worse, start melting the wheels.
  20. Nice trucks, but why the basket of tomatoes?
  21. Absolutely! Have you noticed that this bird has similarities to the 66 Batmobile?
  22. A car for Batman when he goes out on the town! BTW, beautiful color combo.
  23. Mark, have you decided what you're going to use for the upper and lower grilles? How do you plan to fill out the areas between the lights without using putty? Inquiring minds want to know. I like this project and I may want to try my own conversion after seeing how you do yours.
  24. Depends, how much beer have they been drinking?
