  1. Great looking truck. Engine compartment is superb. Where did the wheels come from? I want some good deep and deeper, 5 hole kidney beans like these - hard to find good ones!
  2. Yeah, but where else can you get a fox body Capri? I stockpiled a few of those for some rep-stock conversions someday. But first I have to figure out how to reduce those Mustang flares.
  3. It may be a "rabbit hole", but it sure is fun remembering all these great childhood shows. BTW, this is the first time I've ever heard/seen a "Banana Buggy" kit. It would be cool to convert it into a regular Amphicat. Amazingly, Aurora did it in the right scale!
  4. Oh, that's right. It wasn't the talking dog, it was the talking penguin!
  5. Mr, Magoo. Good one! Voiced by Thurston Howell III. And Mr. Peabody, voiced by Maxwell Smart. And I know radio personality Kasey Kasem voiced quite a few too, but I can't remember which. Anybody - Bueller??
  6. After a while I had to roll my eyes at Super Friends. I mean they were so stuffy and so full of themselves. And they never could actually catch and convict any of the members of the Hall of Doom. Brother!
  7. Droopy dog was part of Tom and Jerry, which was another of my favorites!
  8. Of course, Bugs Bunny. That's a given! I don't remember a Hot Wheels cartoon. Sounds like it could've been good. I remember cartoons with the Jackson 5 Three Stooges and the Brady Bunch (not in the same show, of course) And there was a Gilligan Island cartoon. I remember it being fun.
  9. This probably isn't relatable to the younger generations. But, What cartoons did you grow up with? I remember getting up early on Saturday Morning, clicking on the TV and spending the time building models and watching 'toons. As I've always been into cars, my favorites tended to include vehicles in the story lines. These are some of the forgotten few that I enjoyed.
  10. See if they pay up. Watch it get reposted next week.
  11. Oh Heck No! Like I said, I just read it in one of the magazines. Pretty funny article, too!
  12. I remember an article in one of the old model car magazines 30 years ago, where a club built the WORST models, judged them and then climbed up a ladder and dropped a sledgehammer on them. The car who's parts flew the farthest - Won!
  13. That's what it's all about.
  14. Studebaker should've made a convertible, makes a beautiful car even better! I like the color combination and the wire wheels. Kinda reminds me of an Aston Martin. And that's a good thing!
  15. Wow, Cool! Very creative, I definitely see the Hot Wheels influence.
  16. You be sure to let us know when you do - OK?
  17. Wow he aged well! His face, you could totally recognize him as that same kid.
  18. Good thing, too. Nothing worse than financing for model kits. ?
  19. Amazing. Guess there was a few suckers born this week.
  20. I say definitely a "keeper". If you sell it away, you'll regret it later. I'd try to build it with all the opening features (doors, seats, steerable wheels) as they're unique to this kit. You may encounter difficulty removing all that silver and gold paint. Try using Easy Off oven cleaner on that bad boy. Otherwise mineral spirits and a bunch of Qtips.
  21. Pretty sure it wasn't unusual in the 50s and 60s to use full size sedans and wagons to pull those rigs. Has anyone ever seen the "Long, Long Trailer" with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz? They simply used a Mercury Convertible to pull it. Now that would be a cool project to build!
  22. GMTA! Perfect picture to show the differences between both rooflines.
  23. I like the way this flows. The roof compliments the curves of the front top fender/door line, the wheel well openings and the Bel Air side trim. It emphasizes and repeats the curves on all three locations. It also lightens up the upper part of the car, by eliminating the heaviness of the original roof without compromising the original design of the 57 Chevy. Great design idea, Pat! This is what Chezoom should have been.
