  1. Thanks Scott. Same here. Been looking for those kits for some time, so I'm glad we could trade.
  2. Anybody know if the vending machines are plastic kits or diecast metal?
  3. Your camera angles make it look real! I hope you put the parking brake on so it doesn't roll over the cliff. ?
  4. Looks great David. Thanks for bringing it back for us to see!
  5. That's cool, I want one of those! I can think of a LOT of uses for that tool.
  6. How well does it match with the Monogram or Revell 70 Chevelles?
  7. That's the funny part. If they're wearing masks, how can you tell when they're acting? I guess watch for the eyes.
  8. You've proven that kit can be built well. Atlantis should have used yours as the photo art for their boxes. Would've given the rest of us something to strive for. Kudos to you!
  9. Is that Bluebird a Japanese spec Sentra? I've never seen that kit before. I'll have to find one to duplicate one a friend had many years ago.
  10. GMTA I quoted that same title to JimmyGs 1/16th scale Pete back in April.
  11. Your not too far wrong with your procedure. My first car was a 74 Camaro and when I took it all apart to rebuild it, I found out that the hood and fenders are the same ones as 70-73, with die-cast caps for the headlight areas and a fiberglass nose for the turn signal/grille area. All used to blend into the battering ram aluminum bumper. Just remember that the headlight openings aren't perfectly round, but slightly squared. Check Google for shapes. Rear panel is more involved as the quarter panels were redesigned and restamped for the wrap around taillights. But for your model, sheet plastic should shape it just fine. Can't wait to see how you do this conversion.
  12. You also forgot - more model kits!!
  13. I spray a couple coats of clear on the sheet to hold everything together. Seems to work, but you will have to trim the images close to use them.
  14. I find that offensive to cavemen everywhere!
  15. IIRC, I think I used the Revell grilles in the MPC nose, which made it look better. I'll have to dig it out for pictures. The only part of the MPC body I didn't like was the rear spoiler - it looked like a straight up billboard back there! That's why I said it should be massaged to fit better.
  16. Super lawyer, super woman Suprlawer,superwomin.com Ugh. (Website misspelled on purpose!)
  17. Another Tonka truck on the road. Yawn. ?
  18. Always funny!! ☝ Daffy should've won "best supporting" for that one!
  19. These folks are our REAL super heroes - including the ones driving the cars with the blinking lights! Thank you all for protecting us. Bless you all!
  20. Years ago, my 2 year old son made us laugh hard when he said to his pediatrician, "Ask your doctor if Boniva is right for you!" Ice T annoys me when he says "Car Shield saves me money on car repairs". With the amount of money you have 'T', you should be able to afford to fix it yourself. Or maybe you could afford to buy better cars! I feel a bit aprehensive about those life insurance commercials with the end-of-their-career actors on them. Seems like whoever their spokesperson is, invariably passes on soon after and the company simply moves on to their next victim.
  21. Thing is - they combined my thread with Luc's 2015 thread, so now the conversation of bringing back any old kits is now just labeled as Round 2 kits!
  22. Monogram's 1/24 '69 Camaro Z28 (the bad one, molded in cream) has 2 rear wheels. MPCs ancient 72 Chevy Stepside (gold truck on the box) had them.
  23. Don't repaint that top! I looks like the right color for a canvas fabric. Hard to believe that is a brush painted body, paint looks perfectly smooth. Looks great as is.
